Being a typist I love it. The touch is great. My Thinkpad fits fine. My only drawback is, while it is great to have a full size keyboard. Not for Toshiba Satellite users either - or a lot of notebooks I suspect. Not compatible with Mac OS, Logitech makes this clear. For Windows though, it works great. However.

OldGamer The keyboard works fine, but as for playing games my old one did just as well. Extra Features Mostly Useless So, on the positive side, the G15 has pretty much all the functionality that you would expect from a keyboard.

Command format and answer format
The host shall be designed to send block
The DN-C635 uses commands each of which consists of a data row (some commands no need PC) composed of command codes (CC) and parameter codes (PC).
check characters (BCC) following ETX, with the data row enclosed in STX (text start: 0x02) and ETX (text termination: 0x03). The DN-C635 shall complete command receive with correct BCC codes.
Here are the formats. Commands <STX> <CC> <PC0> <PC1> <PC2> <.> <PCn> <ETX> <BCCH><BCCL>

For BCC; 1) Add from command through STX. 2) Take two lowest digits in BCC sum. (tens & ones place) 3) Convert tens & ones place numbers in to hex. 2.1 Protocol for data transmission and reception
This devices serial protocol is based on half-duplex communication. Therefore the host shall transmit commands and receive answers according to the following procedure.
Basic procedure 1) The host selects a prefer command and transmit codes to device. The host shall not send each byte within 40sec because the device cannot receive within 40sec after previous byte. 2) The host shall wait devices answer before transmit next command. Reading RC, AC and PC bytes, the host can get acknowledge whether the device received previous command correctly or not. 3) When transmit the command which causes some functions, the host shall get devices status that the device becomes ready. The Read Status command is used for this purpose. 4) The host shall complete the transmission of one command within 40 msec. 5) The device shall return answer within 5 seconds. 6) The device cannot receive any command within 2 second after power turned on.
Communication errors 1) In case of communication error such as overrun, framing, or parity error occurred, the device returns NAK (15h) code within 80msec from the start of command transmission. When received NAK (0x15) code, the host shall transmit previous command again immediately. 2) If the host detects communication error while receiving the answer, the host shall send NAK (0x15) code within 80msec from beginning of receipt. The device sends same answer again after received NAK code within 80msec. 3) The host shall send previous command when there is no answer from device.

2.6 Command specification

2.6.1 RESET command

This command resets the device. After RESET command the device will do some operations for reset and return Answer code. At last the device resets itself.

2.6.2 SLEEP command The SLEEP command forces the device to enter sleep mode. The device will stop all of operations, turns off displays and returns Answer code. To wake up, send Operation command (ex. Play, Pause, Stop).

DESCRIPTION

The Denon DN-C635 is a professional CD player housed in a single 2RU rack-mount chassis. It is the successor to the popular DN-C630 and includes many new feature enhancements for professional applications such as CD-RW playback, shock memory and CD text support. Auto Cue to music and instant start insures there are no blank spots at the beginning of the track to be played. A new D-Sub 9 pin port can be configured for either RS-232C or RS-422A communication. An Infra-red sensor has been added behind the front panel for wireless control. Designed for use in a wide range of applications the DN-C635 will satisfy the needs of demanding installations. Radio station, pre-production, post production, studio and theater are just some of the examples where the DN-C635's features will provide solid performance when quality sound is required. For background music applications, the DN-C635 supports MP3 decoding for hours of music playback. Functions on this CD player include a variable pitch of 12% (approximately 2 octaves) and a Single/Continuous Playback mode. The 1x/10x wrap-around track select knob allows for quick track access. A digital SPDIF port is located on the back panel for connecting to digital systems along with sync and cascade connectors for use with multiple DN-C635 units or the DN-780R tape recorder. Digital servo adjustment has been automated so that the optimum setting is always obtained for the type of CD being played, compensating for any changes occurring in the pickup over years of use.

Front panel pitch control is then disabled. Program Play (Max. 99 tracks) - Three different programs can be stored in no volatile memory. - Auto Boot to program when a programmed disc is inserted. End Monitor - When this button is pressed while in Standby mode, the end of the selected track or disc is reviewed. Time adjustable. Search Accuracy (1 frame = 1/75 sec.) (CD only) Serial (D-sub 9-pin) (AMX/CRESTRON compatible) End Of Message (EOM) At the end of a track, the FL display flashes, providing a visual warning to the operator that the track will end shortly. ( range is 0 to 60 sec., 7 steps.) Power-On Playback 1) Play the entire disc from the first track of the disc. 2) Play the program sequence from the beginning. Next-Track Reserve Turning the track select knob during playback reserves thenext track to be played back. After the current track has finished playing back, the unit continues by playing back the reserved track. Parallel (D-sub 25-pin) (GPI Control) Allows DN-C635 users to use play, pause and other simple functions easily by contact closure control. Fader Start via D-Sub 25 pin connector Start Only - Player starts when fader switch is turned on. Start, Pause - Player starts when fader switch is turned on. - Player pauses when fader switch is turned off. Sleep function for extended transport life 3 Function Preset groups for multiple users. Cascade Function (CASCADE IN/OUT) ports of multiple DN-C635 units can be linked to enable continuous relay playback among the units. Synchronized Recording The port (EXT. SYNC OUT) of DN-C635 unit can be linked to other Denon recorders (DN-780R etc.) to enable simultaneous recording. ARCHITECT'S & ENGINEER'S SPECIFICATIONS:
The CD player shall be housed in a single 2RU rack-mount chassis. The unit shall provide an FL tube display and support CD text. The unit shall provide CD frame indication. The unit shall provide a user adjustable preset menu. The CD player shall offer a Single/Continuous mode and provide pitch control of 12%. The unit shall support CD-RW discs. The unit shall provide instant start and adjustable auto cue to music. The DN-C635 shall support MP3 playback for discs that have been recorded with a bit rate of 32~320 kbps. The digital servo shall feature an automated adjustment and the CD player shall provide shock proof memory. The unit shall feature a 1x/10x wrap-around track select knob for fast track access. The DN-C635 shall feature a headphone jack with volume control mounted on the front panel. The unit shall provide an IR sensor mounted behind the front panel display, which can be set to work with remote controls conforming to either Denon or RC5 remote codes or can be defeated. The unit shall provide an external rear panel mounted D-Sub 25 pin parallel remote control port that is compatible with the optional Denon RC-680 wired remote control unit. An external rear panel mounted D-Sub 9 pin serial remote control port shall be provided, which can be configured to RS-232C or RS422A communication. The unit shall provide cascade and sync ports for use in conjunction with other DN-C635 CD players or DN-780R tape recorders. The unit shall provide a coaxial SPDIF digital output jack. The CD player shall provide both unbalanced RCA and adjustable balanced XLR analog connectors. The CD player shall be the Denon DN-C635.
