Introduction
Thank you for taking the time to get acquainted with Eventide. Eventide is a professional cover band playing popular rock music from the 60s through today. To appeal to audiences of all ages, we mix it up and focus on selections that are upbeat & danceable. Our motivation continues to be having fun playing music that excites people. With Eventide, you will find a great variety of cover songs, along with a professional quality sound, blended with lots of energy in a fun atmosphere. We believe you cant be a first rate band without first-rate production. With a topnotch sound system, dance lighting and on-stage monitoring, we can handle anything from a private party to a large outdoor or corporate event. An appreciation of the present, paired with respect for the past allows Eventide to reach a variety of audiences by featuring a mix of classic rock (60s, 70s, and 80s), contemporary rock (90s to today), R&B, and dance. The shows are composed of familiar songs from artists such as The Rolling Stones, Big & Rich, Jimmy Buffett, The Beatles, Queen, J. Geils Band, Grand Funk Railroad, Van Morrison, Bad Company, and many more. Eventide is a talented and versatile band that is happy to accommodate venue and/or budget restrictions by performing as a duo, trio, four or a full five-piece band (solo, cocktail performances are also available).

Eventide is

The core of Eventide is made up of three experienced entertainers but can expand depending on customer preference. The main players of Eventide are:
Dave Banks / Lead & Backing Vocals, Keyboard, Guitar
Dave was born and raised in Flushing, Michigan. Being born into a musically inclined family of talented singers and musicians, Dave discovered his passion for music at a very young age. He made his singing debut on stage at the age of four in his familys church singing group. As a youth, Dave developed his performing skills by singing in church, and touring with a college band for two years. More recently, Dave has performed as part of the groups Eclipse and Back to Back and spent time in the studio recording keyboard tracks for Hindsight. In the meantime, Dave honed his skills as an entertainer by performing for 2 years as a Dueling Pianos player at restaurants and other venues.

Rich Hunt / Drums

Rich hails from Swartz Creek, Michigan where he was raised by a drummer dad and an organ playing mother. His parents musical influence, combined with his nervous energy that needed an outlet, were significant reasons for Rich beginning to keep the beat at a young age. Richs drumming career started in church at the age of 14. Since then, he has been playing with various jazz and cover bands. Rich also is a certified public accountant and is one of the few people in the industry to list Tommy Lee and Buddy Rich as his main influences. His dependable drumming, easygoing attitude and professionalism all make Eventide a better band.
Glen Chipman / Lead & Backing Vocals, Guitar
Glen got his first guitar at the tender age of 10 years old and, from that point on, has been entertaining people with it. What started as neighborhood jam sessions and small parties has, over the last three decades, blossomed into performances at varied venues including appearances at a number of bars and summer festivals in and around the Bay City, Saginaw, Flint, and thumb areas. Glens main focus has been consistently tied to entertaining the people and at the end of the night, you can be sure that a good time has been had by all.
