The SIM card is provided by your telecom service provider, it contains your basic data. For example the phone number and address book. Before inserting the card, make sure that the phone power is turned off. If the SIM card is not inserted, then the communication function cannot be used.

1. Open the battery cover: Hold the phone in one hand, front side facing down and place in middle of palm. Slide the battery cover in the direction as indicated in the illustration. 2. Registering Your Phone

Sync the Phone with the Computer
Before connecting the phone to the computer, please install the Microsoft ActiveSync and Microsoft Office Outlook applications from the Companion CD first. Please refer to sections 9.2 and 9.3 in User Manual for detailed descriptions. You will not be able to sync with Outlook Express. 1.Connect the USB cable to the phone and computer. 2.After ActiveSync starts the synchronization, the contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, and files in the My Documents folder will be synced from the phone to the personal computer. 3.We recommend that you use Windows Media Player 10 in the computer to sync music and media files. This can avoid possible music and media file format compatibility problems with the phone. If the information on the phone was accidentally deleted after the synchronization with the computer is completed, you can use ActiveSync to sync the original information back onto your phone. For configuring ActiveSync, please refer to the detailed descriptions in Chapter 9.

Powering-on the Phone

You can press and hold the red End Call button to turn on the phone. You can also press & hold the same button to turn off the phone.
