Important! Although the baby monitor offers a practical solution in looking after a child it cannot replace a parent or guardian. Make sure the equipment is always out of reach, never place the unit in the childs bed or playpen. To avoid acoustic feedback by not placing the handset and baby monitor close to one another. Radio signals can be blocked if the equipment is used in areas with high sources of interference from other electronic equipment.
Turning on/off Use the switch 0/1 on the side of the monitor to turn the unit on or off. Connection/Monitoring 1. Connect the mains adapter to an electrical wall socket. 2. Make sure that the monitor and handset are set to the same channel and transfer code. See below. 3. Position the monitor close to the baby (but out of reach). 4. Adjust the microphone sensitivity using the VOX control on the rear of the monitor (A=least sensitive.H=most sensitive). Please refer to page 4. 5. When the sound level in the room exceeds the selected VOX setting, the handset will be triggered allowing you to monitor the room. 6. Try the installation before every use by talking quite low into the unit that is placed close to the baby, at the same time as someone is listening to the other unit.
Please note!
If the monitor and handset/s are unable to communicate it may be because you are using different channels or transfer codes, the battery is running low or the units are too far apart. There is NO loudspeaker in the monitor, this ensures your child will not be disturbed by radio chatter that is often heard on the handset/s. Important!
