E-Ten Glofiish M810 and Glofiish V900 Officially Announced
To hit the market in the second half of 2008
E-Ten Information Systems officially announced the presentation of Glofiish M810 and Glofiish V900, the company's first devices from its new range of Pocket PCs created with portable entertainment and go-anywhere communications in mind. Both devices will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, between 11 and 14 February. Glofiish V900 is the first Pocket PC from the Taiwan-based producer to pack Mobile TV features. The device has support for DVB-H, DVB-T, DAB and TDMB broadcasting standards, thus allowing users to view anything, anywhere. Glofiish V900 also offers a wide VGA display, HSDPA for high-speed data transfers, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and will be the first device to come with E-Ten's newly developed touch-based user interface. Glofiish M810 is a sleek handset designed for users who stay on-line a lot and are interested in blogs, podcasts, video making or chatting. The device offers built-in GPS, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, a full QWERTY keyboard for easy text input and JAVA support for fun mobile games. Moreover, M810 packs a 2 Megapixel camera with auto-focus and video recording for good-quality pictures and video that can be easily uploaded to any web location. "With the growing popularity of blogging, instant messaging and social networking, as well as online services such as Google Maps, it's no longer just professionals who need to maintain constant access to the Internet, consumers are wanting to spend more and more time online too," said Simon Hwang, E-Ten CEO. "To this end, E-TEN has harnessed our mobile technological expertise and the power and versatility of the Windows Mobile platform to create a range for feature rich, portable, Internet-ready phones, that put the focus on fun and entertainment."Glofiish V900 and Glofiish M810 will be launched in the second half of 2008. No details about the pricing yet, nor about the markets that will first get the handsets.
