Introduction
In 2006 CATV Ibaraki built a satellite studio inside of a large shopping mall to broadcast local community channel programming. Since this unique facility and studio setup, many of CATV's broadcast facilities around Ibaraki come to see the facility.

Point of Selection

- Director of CATV Ibaraki The biggest appealing point of V-440HD was price. Although we needed to have an HD production system for the future, all the other HD mixers were priced too high. We also use Edirol's CG-8 and PR-80. Both units help us to provide visual entertainment and digital signage for people coming to the mall. We can create motion graphics very quickly and easily with CG-8. The PR-80 can output video with the super quick response from a touch screen, mouse, keyboard, or built-in scheduler.

The System

They output a variety video content to the screen installed in the lobby of their satellite studio. CATV takes video content and commercials from the local stores in the shopping malls and broadcasts them throughout the facility. They also incorporate broadcast material including live camera feeds.
