Warnings

The following warnings are provided in the interests of overall safety. You must read them carefully before installing or using the appliance.

Installation

All internal packing must be removed before using the appliance. Serious damage may be caused to the machine or adjacent furniture if the protective transit devices are not removed or are not completely removed. Refer to the relevant paragraph in the instruction book. Any electrical work required to install this appliance must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Any plumbing work required to install this appliance must be carried out by a qualified plumber. After having installed the machine, check that it is not standing on its electrical supply cable. If the appliance is placed on a carpeted floor, ensure that air can circulate freely between the feet and the floor.
Use only the recommended quantities of fabric softener. An excessive amount could damage the laundry. Leave the porthole door slightly ajar when the appliance is not in use. This preserves the door seal and prevents the formation of musty smells. Always check that water has emptied out before opening the door. If not, drain the water following the instructions in the instruction book. Always unplug the appliance and shut the water tap after use.

General safety

Repairs to the machine must be carried out only by qualified personnel. Repairs carried out by inexperienced persons could cause serious danger. Contact your local Service Centre. Never pull the power supply cable to remove the plug from the socket; always take hold of the plug itself. During high temperature wash programmes and during the drying cycle the door glass may get hot. Do not touch it!
This appliance is designed for domestic use. It must not be used for purposes other than those for which it was designed. Only wash and dry fabrics which are designed to be machine washed and dried. Follow the instructions on each garment label. Do not overload the appliance. Follow the instructions in the instruction book. Make sure that all pockets are empty. Objects such as coins, safety pins, pins and screws can cause extensive damage. Do not machine wash garments saturated with petroleum, methylated spirits, trichlorethylene, etc. If such fluids have been used to remove stains prior to washing, wait until they have completely evaporated from the fabric before placing garments in the appliance. Place small items such as socks, belts, etc. in a cloth bag or pillowcase to prevent them getting trapped between the drum and the tub. If you use a liquid detergent with a dispenser which has to be placed directly in the drum, remember to remove this dispenser before drying.

Child safety

Children are often not aware of how dangerous electrical appliances can be. When the machine is working, children should be carefully supervised and not be allowed to play with the appliance. The packaging components (e.g. plastic film, polystyrene) can be dangerous to children - danger of suffocation! Keep them out of childrens reach.
Keep all detergents in a safe place out of childrens reach. Make sure that children or pets do not climb into the drum. When the appliance is to be scrapped, cut off the electrical supply cable and destroy the plug with the remaining cable. Disable the door catch in order to prevent children from becoming trapped inside while playing.

Tips for environmental protection
To save water, energy and to help protect the environment, we recommend that you follow these tips: Normally soiled laundry may be washed without prewashing in order to save detergent, water and time (the environment is protected too!). The machine works more economically if it is fully loaded (for both washing and drying cycles). The machine will consume less energy if the laundry is adequately spun before being dried. With adequate pre-treatment, stains and limited soiling can be removed; the laundry can then be washed at a lower temperature. Measure out detergent according to the water hardness, the degree of soiling and the quantity of laundry being washed.

Unpacking

All transit bolts and packing must be removed before using the appliance. You are advised to keep all transit devices so that they can be refitted if the machine ever has to be transported again. 1. Using a spanner, unscrew and remove the rear right-hand bolt and lay the machine on its back, taking care not to squash the hoses. This can be avoided by placing one of the corner packing pieces between the machine and the floor.
7. Pull out the three plastic spacers from the holes into which the bolts were fitted. 8. Plug the open holes with the plugs which you will find in the plastic envelope containing the instruction booklet.

Positioning

Install the machine on a flat hard floor. Make sure that air circulation around the machine is not impeded by carpets, rugs etc. Check that the machine does not touch the wall or other kitchen units. Carefully level by screwing the adjustable feet in or out. Never place cardboard, wood or similar materials under the machine to compensate for any unevenness in the floor.
2. Remove the polystyrene block from the underside of the machine and release the two plastic bags. 3. Carefully remove the right-hand bag (1) then the left-hand bag (2) by pulling them towards the centre of the machine. 4. Unscrew and remove the feet.

Water inlet
Connect the water inlet hose to a tap with a 3/4" thread. Do not use already employed employed hoses. The other end of the inlet hose which connects to the machine can be turned in any direction. Simply loosen the fitting, rotate the hose and retighten the fitting, making sure there are no water leaks
5. Fit the grid (A) on the bottom of the machine using the four screws (B) you will find in the bag containing the instruction booklet. Re-fit the feet.

6. Set the machine upright and remove the two remaining bolts from the back.
The inlet hose must not be lengthened. If it is too short and you do not wish to move the tap, you will have to purchase a new, longer hose specially designed for this type of use.

8 Extra rinse button

Can be used with all programmes except the wool programme. The machine performs 4 rinses instead of 3. This option is recommended for people who are allergic to detergents and in areas where the water is very soft.
9 Electronic Drying button
By means of this button you can choose the required degree of drying for cottons and synthetics: Extra dry (cottons) Store dry (cottons and synthetics) Iron dry (cottons) The corresponding pilot light illuminates. The drying time is automatically adjusted by the machine: the laundry will be dried to the selected degree of dryness.

If you wish to carry out a timed programme instead of an electronic programme push the button until the drying time you want appears in the display according to the fabrics (cotton or synthetics) you have to dry. For COTTON you can select a drying time from 10 minutes to 130 minutes. For SYNTHETICS you can select a time from 10 minutes to 100 minutes.

7 Quick wash button

By pressing this button the washing time is reduced as follows: 63 minutes for cotton 95C 72 minutes for cotton 60C 68 minutes for cotton 40C and 30C 42 minutes for synthetics 9 minutes for delicates This option is not available with the wool programme and the Energy saving programme. To be used for lightly soiled laundry.

11 DELAY START button

The wash programme can be delayed from 1 hour up to a maximum of 24 hours by means of this button. Selecting the delayed start Switch the machine on by depressing the ON/OFF button. Select the programme and the required options. Select the delay start. Depress START/PAUSE button starts its hourly countdown. : the machine
The programme will start after the selected delay has expired.
Altering the delayed start Depress START/PAUSE button.
When the programme has finished a flashing zero is displayed. If you have selected the Anti-crease option , the zero will not flash. Drying time The selected drying time is displayed in minutes or hours and minutes.

Depress DELAY START button until the required time is displayed. If you wish to cancel the delay, depress the button only once: the symbol 0 h is displayed. Depress START/PAUSE button again.

12 DISPLAY

The display shows the following information: Cancelling - Duration of the programme - Drying time - Delayed start - Incorrect option selection Alarm code. Cancelling If a programme has been cancelled - programme selector dial on position O - three flashing dashes appear on the display. After starting the programme, the remaining time is updated every minute. Delayed start The selected delay (24 hours max) set by means of the relevant button appears on the display for 4 seconds, then the duration of the previously selected programme is displayed.
Now you can select a new programme. Duration of the selected programme After selecting a programme, the duration is displayed in hours and minutes ( for example 2.05). The countdown is updated every hour. Incorrect option selection
The duration is calculated automatically on the basis of the maximum recommended load for each type of fabric. After the programme has started, the time remaining is updated every minute.
If an option which is not compatible with the set wash programme is selected, the message Err is displayed.
Alarm codes In the event of operating problems, some alarm codes can be displayed, for example E20 (see paragraph Something not working).
Draining of water By depressing the Start/Pause button The water of programme A (Soak) is emptied out The water of the last rinse on programmes with Anti-crease option is emptied out and the laundry is spun.
14 Programme progress display
By selecting the wash programme, the pilot lights corresponding to the various phases making up the programme come on. After the machine has started, only the running phase pilot light stays on. When the programme has finished, the End pilot light comes on.

13 START/PAUSE button

This button has three functions: Start - Pause - Draining of water. Start After having selected the required programme, press this button to start the machine; the corresponding pilot light stops flashing. If you have selected the delayed start, the machine begins its countdown. The duration of the programme or the delay appears on the display. Pause To interrupt a programme which is running, depress the Start/Pause button: the corresponding pilot light starts to flash. To restart the programme from the point at which it was interrupted, press the START/PAUSE button again.

Functions

Pilot lights
Depending on the programme, different functions can be combined. When the relevant buttons are pressed, the corresponding pilot lights come on. When they are pressed again, the pilot lights go out. If an incorrect option is selected, the pilot light flashes for about 2 seconds and the message Err is displayed.

End of programme

When the door locked light has gone out, the door can be opened. The light (END) on the programme progress display illuminates. A flashing zero appears on the display. Switch the machine off and remove the laundry. Turn the programme selector dial to O.

Important!

By pressing the START/PAUSE and DRYING TIME buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds, the acoustic signal is deactivated.

Altering a programme

You can alter the programme before it starts. When the programme has started, you can only reset it by turning the programme selector dial to O and then you can select the new programme. Start it by depressing the START/PAUSE button. 13

Interrupting a programme

Depress the START/PAUSE button to interrupt a programme which is running, the corresponding light starts to flash.
Draining and spin: turn the programme selector dial to O, select programme F (spin), reduce eventually the spin speed by means of button and depress START/PAUSE button. Important! If the water is not emptied out within 18 hours, the machine empties automatically. At the end of the soak (after having emptied out the water) you can select the washing programme. Turn first the programme selector dial to O, then select the programme and depress the START/PAUSE button. B = Rinses With this programme it is possible to rinse and spin garments which have been washed by hand. The machine performs 3 rinses, followed by a final spin at 1200 r.p.m. The spin speed can be reduced by depressing button. C = Softeners Hand washed garments can be softened with this programme. The machine performs 1 rinse, followed by a final spin at the max. speed, which can be reduced by depressing button. D = Drain For emptying out the water of the last rinse in programmes with the Anti-crease option. Turn first the programme selector dial to O, then select programme D and depress the START/PAUSE button.

Cancelling a programme

Turn the selector dial to O to cancel a programme which is running: three flashing dashes appear on the display. Now you can select a new programme.
Opening the door after the programme has started
First set the machine to PAUSE by pressing the START/PAUSE button. The door can be opened when the door locked light has gone out. If the door does not open, this means that the machine is already heating or drying, that the water level is above the bottom edge of the door or that the drum is turning. During drying the door can be opened only the first 10 minutes and at the end of drying (after the cooling phase). If you cannot open the door but you need to open it you have to switch the machine off by depressing the ON/OFF button. After about 3 minutes the door can be opened (pay attention to the temperature and level of the water!). To restart the programme depress ON/OFF button again after closing the door.

Programme information

Wool Washing programme for machine washable wool as well as for hand washable woollens and delicate fabrics with the hand washing care symbol. A = Soak Select this programme for heavily soiled laundry. Pour the detergent into the compartment. This programme is not suitable for wool. The machine performs a soak at 30C and stops with the water in the drum. The water can be emptied out in 2 ways: Draining only by depressing the START/PAUSE button.
F = Spin Separate spin at the maximum speed for hand washed garments. You can reduce the speed by means of button to adapt it to the fabrics to be spun. G = Miniprogramme This is a complete programme that can be combined with the following options: spin speed reduction, anti-crease and delayed start. To be used for laundry which is lightly soiled or which needs freshening up. Max load 3 kg. Washing temperature 30C Programme duration 30 minutes Final spin speed 700 r.p.m. O = Reset To reset a programme turn the selector dial to O. Now can a new programme be selected.

Sorting the laundry
Follow the wash code symbols on each garment label and the manufacturers washing instructions. Sort the laundry as follows: whites, coloureds, synthetics, delicates, woollens.

Temperatures

Before loading the laundry
Never wash whites and coloureds together. Whites may lose their whiteness in the wash. New coloured items may run in the first wash; they should therefore be washed separately the first time. Make sure that no metal objects are left in the laundry (e.g. hair clips, safety pins, pins). Button up pillowcases, close zip fasteners, hooks and poppers. Tie any belts or long tapes. Remove persistent stains before washing. Rub particularly soiled areas with a special detergent or detergent paste. Treat curtains with special care. Remove hooks or tie them up in a bag or net.

Removing stains

Stubborn stains may not be removed by just water and detergent. It is therefore advisable to treat them prior to washing. Blood: treat fresh stains with cold water. For dried stains, soak overnight in water with a special detergent then rub in the soap and water. Oil based paint: moisten with benzine stain remover, lay the garment on a soft cloth and dab the stain; treat several times. Dried grease stains: moisten with turpentine, lay the garment on a soft surface and dab the stain with the fingertips and a cotton cloth. Rust: oxalic acid dissolved in hot water or a rust removing product used cold. Be careful with rust stains which are not recent since the cellulose structure will already have been damaged and the fabric tends to hole. Mould stains: treat with bleach, rinse well (whites and fast coloureds only). Grass: soap lightly and treat with bleach (whites and fast coloureds only). Ball point pen and glue: moisten with acetone (*), lay the garment on a soft cloth and dab the stain. Lipstick: moisten with acetone as above, then treat stains with methylated spirits. Remove any residual marks from white fabrics with bleach. Red wine: soak in water and detergent, rinse and treat with acetic or citric acid, then rinse. Treat any residual marks with bleach. 16

Maximum loads

Recommended loads are indicated in the programme charts. General rules: Cotton, linen: drum full but not too tightly packed; Synthetics: drum no more than half full; Delicate fabrics and woollens: drum no more than one third full. Washing a maximum load makes the most efficient use of water and energy. For heavily soiled laundry, reduce the load size.
Ink: depending on the type of ink, moisten the fabric first with acetone (*), then with acetic acid; treat any residual marks on white fabrics with bleach and then rinse thoroughly. Tar stains: first treat with stain remover, methylated spirits or benzine, then rub with detergent paste. (*) do not use acetone on artificial silk.
Quantity of detergent to be used
The type and quantity of detergent will depend on the type of fabric, load size, degree of soiling and hardness of the water used. Water hardness is classified in so-called degrees of hardness. Information on hardness of the water in your area can be obtained from the relevant water supply company, or from your local authority. Follow the product manufacturers instructions on quantities to use. Use less detergent if: you are washing a small load, the laundry is lightly soiled, large amounts of foam form during washing.

Detergents and additives

Good washing results also depend on the choice of detergent and use of the correct quantities to avoid waste and protect the environment. Although biodegradable, detergents contain substances which, in large quantities, can upset the delicate balance of nature. The choice of detergent will depend on the type of fabric (delicates, woollens, cottons, etc.), the colour, washing temperature and degree of soiling. All commonly available washing machine detergents may be used in this appliance: powder detergents for all types of fabric, powder detergents for delicate fabrics (60C max) and woollens, liquid detergents, preferably for low temperature wash programmes (60C max) for all types of fabric, or special for woollens only. The detergent and any additives must be placed in the appropriate compartments of the dispenser drawer before starting the wash programme. If using concentrated powder or liquid detergents, a programme without prewash must be selected. The washing machine incorporates a recirculation system which allows an optimal use of the concentrated detergent. Pour liquid detergent into the dispenser drawer compartment marked just before starting the programme. Any fabric softener or starching additives must be poured into the compartment marked before starting the wash programme. Follow the product manufacturers recommendations on quantities to use and do not exceed the MAX mark in the detergent dispenser drawer.

1. Bodywork

Clean the outside of the machine with warm water and a detergent used to handwash dishes. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. Important: do not use methylated spirits, solvents or similar products to clean the bodywork.

3. Drain filter

The drain filter collects threads and small objects inadvertently left in the laundry. Check regularly that the filter is clean. Open the filter door. Place a container under the filter and unscrew it.
2. Detergent dispenser drawer
After a while, detergents and fabric softeners leave deposits in the drawer. Clean the drawer from time to time by rinsing it under a running tap. To remove the drawer from the machine, press the button in the rear left-hand corner. To facilitate cleaning, the top part of the additive compartments can be removed.
Pull out the filter. Clean the filter under a running tap, then refit it, screwing it fully in.
Detergent can also accumulate inside the drawer recess: clean it with an old toothbrush. Refit the drawer after cleaning.

4. Water inlet filter

If you notice that the machine is taking longer to fill, check that the filter in the water inlet hose is not blocked. Turn off the water tap. Unscrew the hose from the tap. Clean the filter with a stiff brush.
Screw the hose back onto the tap.
5. Emergency emptying out
If the water is not discharged (outlet pump is blocked, filter or drain hose are clogged), proceed as follows to empty out the machine: pull out the plug from the power socket; close the water tap; if necessary, wait until the water has cooled down; place a bowl on the floor under the filter; slightly loosen the filter to let the water come out slowly; at the end screw the filter again.

6. Frost precautions

If the machine is installed in a place where the temperature could drop below 0C, proceed as follows: Close the water tap and unscrew the water inlet hose from the tap. Place the end of the drain hose and that of the inlet hose in a bowl placed on the floor. Select programme D (draining) and run it until the machine stops. Turn the programme selector dial to O. Switch the machine OFF by depressing button Screw the water inlet hose back on and put the drain hose back in its place. By doing this, any water remaining in the machine is removed, avoiding the formation of ice and, consequently, breakage of the affected parts. When you use the machine again, make sure that the ambient temperature is above 0C.

The electronic unbalance detection device has cut in because the laundry is not evenly distributed in the drum. The laundry is redistributed by reverse rotation of the drum. This may happen several times before the unbalance disappears and normal spinning can resume. If, after 15 minutes, the laundry is still not evenly distributed in the drum, the machine will spin at a lower speed. If at the end of the programme the laundry is not spun enough, redistribute the load manually and select the spin programme. The water tap is closed (E10). The drain filter is clogged (E20). The drying time or degree of dryness has not been selected. An appropriate drying time or degree of dryness has not been chosen. There is too much laundry inside the appliance.
The machine will not dry or the laundry is not dry enough
Water is not visible in the machine. The machine, which is the result of modern technology, runs in a very economical way with low water consumption. Performance is nevertheless excellent.
The machine makes an unusual noise. The machine is fitted with a commutator motor which improves machine performance.

General

This manual has been written according to the ISO code of practice reference number ISO 10240: 2004(E) for small craft up to 24 m length of hull. This code has also been adopted as CE1 norm.

1.1. Manual introduction

This manual has been compiled to assist in the safe operation of the vessel. It contains details of the vessel, the equipment supplied and/or fitted, its systems and information on its operation and maintenance. Please read it carefully, and familiarise yourself with the craft before commencing operation. For easy access to the information, digital pictures instead of schematic drawings have been used, where appropriate. Despite strict safety standards and planning, boating is highly dependant on the weather conditions, the sea state and the experience and physical shape of the crew. Its laws and its strengths are to be respected. This manual contains the minimum information necessary to run the boat properly, including some safety topics and operation and maintenance hints. It is, however, not an operation, troubleshooting or maintenance manual. Always use a trained professional for maintenance, repair or minor modification. Larger modifications must have the written authorisation of the boat builder or its legal representative in the EU to ensure that the safety characteristics of the vessel are not compromised. In many countries, a sailing qualification is required; please ensure your compliance with these regulations before purchasing or sailing the vessel. Always have a current weather forecast prior to any sailing session, and ensure that the wind and sea conditions will correspond to the design category of your boat. Ensure that you and your crew are able to handle the boat in these conditions. Pay careful attention to boat maintenance and adjust the use to the state of your boat, which ages with time and usage. The International IMO colreg regulation defines rules of way, navigation lights, etc, throughout the world. Make sure you know these rules and that you have a booklet explaining them on board.

1.3. Certification

The ship has been certified according to the Recreational Craft EU Directive 2003/44/CE by Bureau Veritas. (0062)

1.4. Design Category

The design category is ocean going vessel CE Category A, which is defined as: This craft is designed to operate in winds that may exceed wind force 8 (Beaufort scale) and in significant wave heights of 4 m and above (see Note 1 below), and is largely self-sufficient. Abnormal conditions such as hurricanes are excluded. Such conditions may be encountered on extended voyages, for example across oceans, or inshore when unsheltered from the wind and waves for the several hundred nautical miles.

Safety Many features have been incorporated to ensure direct and indirect safety, such as easy handling, shelter offered by the vessel under adverse weather conditions, and the reliability of the equipment. Only the highest quality navigation equipment, sails, spars, rigging and hardware are fitted to ensure safe voyaging and exceptional performance under sail or motor. A day tank for reliable supply of diesel fuel is situated in each engine room. An autopilot has been installed to assist the crew on long voyages. Special care has been taken to have all relevant navigational information, including radar, available at both steering positions Inside, at the chart table control panel and on the fly-bridge. Stainless steel sea rails, 70cm high, contribute to crew safety while on deck. Comfort The SUNREEF 60 is a very comfortable vessel, whether sailing or lying at anchor. The sheltered cockpit with extended roof provides shaded seating and the fly-bridge has ample sunbathing areas. The main saloon offers comfort and warmth in unfavourable weather. The accommodation below deck is luxuriously spacious. The main saloon, galley and chart table are centrally located and fully equipped. The engine rooms are separated from the living areas with hi-tech acoustic insulation. The water maker and generator, amongst other things, have also been installed to avoid noise disturbance. Air-conditioning is fitted throughout the vessel to add to the overall comfort found aboard. Storage space Careful attention has been paid to the capacity and location of storage areas, including the cupboards and drawers located throughout the vessel. The saloon cockpit also has many spacious storage lockers.

2.2. Interior

The interior lay out comprises: the main saloon with big sofa, small sofa dining table and navigation table fully equipped galley and bar owner cabin in starboard with double bed, desk and a small sofa ; this cabin has a separate bathroom and shower 2 aft guest cabin and front starboard guest cabin with double beds ; each cabin has a private bathroom with separated shower 1 laundry in the middle of the starboard corridor, between the bathrooms 1 additional fridge/freezer in the middle of the portside corridor, between the bathrooms 1 crew cabin with 2 single bunk beds in starboard forepeak 1 cabin with 2 bunk beds in portside forepeak the main cockpit with 2 large sofas covered with ska fabric and 2 tables, big fixed one and small removable one

3.1.5 Winter storage/dry docking CAUTION: Lifting straps should be positioned according to the structural layout of the hull.
3.1.6 Inspection of systems, circuits and devices A regular inspection and maintenance schedule is recommended and should, at least include the following: Sacrificial electrodes Rigging exterior and interior paintwork Status paintwork (including anti-fouling activity) Masts and booms any cracks and scratches should be inspected carefully Sails All pumps and filters any leakage Diesel engines Generator Watermakers Batteries Winches and capstans Anchor and windlass Hydraulic connections All electrical equipment
3.2 Mooring and anchoring
There are DAMADE 6 big cleats on the deck in the outside of the ship and there is one small cleat at each stern.

CAUTION: Proper care should be taken to avoid being entangled while operating the windlass. The windlass control panels are situated in portside locker in front of the mast and is visible when hatch is opened. There is a possibility to control heave up an anchor by the remote control which is plug with a 2m spiral cable. The remote controls plugs are situated near the windlass, in the starboard and portside locker in front of the mast. The remote control give us a chance to control steering windlass, correct selection of chain and correct lay down of anchor. In case of anchoring with baffling wind, we should use guy ropes, which direct the chain. It protects the bottom of the yachts hull from eventual damages because of yacht yawing. CAUTION: Properly secure connection of the anchor to the chain by wire or plastic tie. The safety anchor depth is estimated and depends on the weather conditions and bottom type.

The Yacht has: two engines Yanmar type 4JH3-DTE, Supplies 91.9 kW each and have a capacity of 1.995 l. The engine is feeded by diesel, which is accumulated in 2 tanks with capacity 900 l each. Fuel is supplied to each engine by daily tank 70l each. Using other than the specified lube oil will lead to seizure of parts, abnormal wear, and shorten engine life.
1) Selection of Engine Lube oil Use the following lube oil: API Classification..CD SAE Viscosity..15W40 2) Clutch Oil Selection Use the following lube oil: KM4A Clutch API Classification..CC or higher SAE Viscosity..#20 or #30 The first time lube oil in crankcase is replaced after 50 hrs or one month and then every 250 hrs (1 year). This should be done by a technicians specialized in marine gears. It is important to check the cooling water daily. Be sure: To use clean soft water (tap water) for cooling fresh water. To add antirust or antifreeze to cooling fresh water.
Without antirust, cooling performance will drop due to scale and rust in the cooling water system. In cold seasons, the antifreeze is especially important. Without antifreeze, cooling water will freeze and expand, breaking various parts. For your reference, antifreeze mixed with antirust is now available in the market.

located in the engine rooms prior to the daily tank. To switch from electric to manual and vice-versa, there is a 3 way valve next to the pumps that must be turn by of a turn. To fill in the tanks, use the deck fillers that are situated on their respective side. The main fuel tanks are each fitted with an overflow security. In case of excessive filling of the tanks, there are 2 jerricans of 5L each in the lockers in front of the mast on either side of the flybrigde. These Jerricans are not watertight and they should always be empty in order not to overflow is seas condition. WARNING: The fuel tanks shouldn't be filled over 80% of their capacity. See Fig. 7.
3.6.2 Fuel filter/Water Separator A single fuel/water separator Racor : Frequency of water draining or element replacement is determined by the contamination level of the fuel. The bowl must be drained before contaminants reach the bottom of the turbine. Inspect or drain the collection bowl of water daily and replace the element every 10,000 miles, every 500 hour, every other oil change or if engine power loss is noticed, which ever comes first.

Before the day tank, there is a bypass with a three way-valve, so that the fuel can be transferred with a manual pump through an additional fuel filter Racor 500 MAM.
3.6.3 Magnetizers The magnetizers are situated before fuel filter and give economical fuel combustion. 3.6.4 Transfer pump between the two main tanks A fuel transfer pump between the 2 main pumps is situated in the saloon, behind the locker under the TV. You can access it by removing the back panel of the lockers interior. There is a switch in the main electrical panel which gives the possibility to transfer the fuel from starboard to portside and vice versa. Position 1 transfer it from starboard to portside and position 2 from portside to starboard. CAUTION: The fuel will not go automatically from one main tank to another. It is either possible to switch on the fuel transfer pump or to fill in one side and then the other side.

3.9.1 General information The main voltage of the board system is 230VAC (50Hz, single phase) available from the KOHLER generator and 24V DC. There is also independent 12VDC system for engine starting installation. There is a possibility of coastal feeding in port, however in some countries (for example USA) there are different voltage parameters and some of the equipment doesnt work. This devices must be disconnected manually using the adequate selector switch in the engine room. House batteries do not need any service, but regular checking should be done to ensure that they are not flooding and impure.
3.9.2 DC system (24V) Battery chargers There are two batteries chargers for charging the main batteries. The chargers are located under the fridge, behind the bottom upholstery side panel, on the portside corridor. The parameters of the chargers are: Input 230V AC 50/60 Hz. Output 24V DC 75A
WARNING: Exercise special care in handling 230VAC. Alternators The main batteries are charged when the engine is working. There are also additional Mastervolt alternators, which are interconnected with the drive of the engine by the belt transmission. The charging cycle of the alternators can be stopped by turning off the switch situated in the engine room on the side of the alternator. Batteries There are 8 MVG 12/200 eight main batteries. The 12 V batteries are connected in series parallel system and give 24 V DC output. The batteries are located in two sections: Four in left hull in front cabin under the floor Four in right hull in front cabin under the floor The battery is charged by battery chargers and additional alternators. The discharge residual time, voltage and amperage of the batteries are displayed by the Battery Monitor BTM1 situated at the chart table. The batteries are located in two sections: left hull in front cabin under the floor, under the bed right hull in front cabin under the floor, under the bed There are also two MVG 12V/85 emergency batteries. The 12 V batteries are connected in series parallel system and give 24 V DC output. They are located under the floor of the portside aft guest cabin. The batteries dont need any maintenance. The Main batteries (Service batteries) are used for long-term for regular power consumption. Fuse panel It is installed behind the wood panel in the portside corridor just over the floor. It feeds all high power systems on the yacht. There is a main switch which disconnect voltage from the batteries. Before safety catch take out from the socket open the DC 1.1 main switch. 43
CAUTION: The switch only turn off current from batteries. In order to switch off current in the system, it is also necessary to switch off the charger. There is an on/off button situated on the charger. Cable distribution The cables we used are special constructions for sea installations and leading in installation canals and pipes.
3.9.3 DC system (12V) Battery charger The batteries are charged by two Ivo battery chargers.
The parameters of the charger are: Engine starting batteries charger Input 230V AC 50/60 Hz Output 12V DC 25 A
The engines starting battery charger is situated in the starboard engine room.
DC-DC converter There is a DC-DC converter on the navigation station in the saloon, in order to turn the voltage from 24 V to 12 V, required by some navigation and electrical devices.
Alternators The standard engine alternators are used to charge the starting batteries, while the main engines are running. The parameters of the alternators: Charging voltage (final) 12 V Charging current 60 A
Batteries There are two MVG 12/120 starting batteries in the yacht. There is one starting battery with the parameters 12 V DC 120 Ah for each engine. They are situated in the engine room near the engine. They are charged by the Ivo battery charger or the standard engine alternator and are maintenance-free.
Fuse panel There are two energy distribution panels, one for each two starting batteries. There are automatically redundancy-current switches by C characteristic. The 12 V DC each engine installation is serviced by each panel. Cable distribution The cables we used are special constructions for sea installations and leading in installation canals and pipes.
3.9.4 AC system The main voltage of the boat is 230V/50Hz. There is an inverter located under the oven, behind the bottom upholstery side panel, on the portside corridor. The parameters of the inverter are: Input 24V DC 240A Output 230V AC 50/60 Hz. P30 capacity (VA C) Nominal capacity (VA, C) Peak power (5 sec.) 10000 VA of load resistance The alternating voltage generated by the inverter is used to feed the systems connected to the switchbox AC4, AC1. There is switch protect for Output 2P C20A. Feeding DV 4x50mm* is protected by two safety catches 125A.

Shore connection The Shore Power System enables connecting the yacht to 230V/50Hz. WARNING: Do not connect to shore where the voltage and/or the frequency are different. Many countries have different voltages. The coast feeding procedure 1. Check the system compatibility between the plug and the socket in the port. 2. In the case of systems compatibility pass to point 4. 3. In the case of systems incompatibility proceed to required works. Their goal is to bring to the systems compatibility (the works have to be realized by a person who has required qualifications and has adequate rights). 4. Check that the fuse AC 3.1 in panel AC 3, situated in the starboard engine room, is switched off. 5. Check that switch Selector Switch 1 in the starboard engine room is switched off (on 0 position). 6. Unroll the cable between the waterside connection socket on the yacht and the portside socket. 7. Connect the cable to the inlet socket on the boat. 8. Connect the cable to the outlet socket on the marina waterside. 9. Check that the fuse off the marina connection is properly fitted and switched on. 10.Turn the switch Selector Switch 1 to position 1. 11. Switch on the fuse AC 3.1. The procedure of shut down coast feeding 1. Switch off the fuse AC 3.1. 2. Adjust switch Selector Switch 1 to position 0. Do not switch directly to position 2. 3. Unplug the cable of waterside supply in the port. 4. Unplug the waterside supply cable from the boat socket. 5. Roll the cable. 6. Hermetically close the cover of the input pin on the boat. WARNING: Dont let the end of the waterside cable hang in the water. An electric field may be produced which could cause injuries or the death of persons who swim in the water. WARNING: The shore connection cable should always be kept out of the water and in a dry place. Allow it to dry for a sufficient time if the cable has been in contact with the water before you connect it on either side.
SELECTOR SWITCH 1 There is 3-way manual feeding switch to choose shore or generator feeding in the engine room. It is SELECTOR SWITCH position connect shore feeding 0 position shut down shore and generator feeding 2 position connect generator feeding Remember to choose the correct position on the switch. The switch should be left in 0 position when there is a shortage of shore or generator feeding.

C. Fuse change in the connexion box portside Before proceeding to the change of the master switch inside the DC system, switch off: the master switch inside the DC1 switchgear battery switch on starboard (BS STBD) battery switch on portside (BS PORT) the chargers DC1.1 Take off the front screen with adequate tools and take out the damaged fuse. Install a replacement fuse of the same size. The change of master protection of bilge pumps Before proceeding to the change of the master protection of bilge pumps, switch to OFF the 4 bilge pumps switches and switch off the BS STBD, BS PORT and DC 1.1 Take off the front screen of the DC0 with adequate tools and take out the damaged fuse. Install a replacement fuse of the same size. Ideally this should be done by a qualified electrician.
3.9.7 Switch on / switch off the battery Before proceeding to the cables connection / disconnection, you should switch off the battery load. Therefore, you should: switch off the battery switch portside for the portside batteries switch off the battery switch satrboard for the starboard batteries Once all these operations have been successfully completed, connect or disconnect the battery terminals as required. WARNING: Batteries still produce voltage during the process, and in case of a short-circuit, a high current will circulate. These works should be performed by a qualified electrician.
3.9.8 Batteries load For the load of the main batteries, a Mastervolt charging system is fitted and comprises: 2 chargers 24Vdc/75 A two alternators 24 Vdc/110 A
These installations are equipped by load control system and dont require maintenance. In case of a considerable discharge of the main batteries and the shutdown of the all 3 loading installations, the load current will indicate 150A. 3.9.9 Stipulations concerning the ventilation of the batteries Gel batteries (type: MVG) with Mastervolt load systems are fitted. According to the producer, those batteries do not require maintenance and do not need a ventilation system.

3.10.3 Circulation pump Chilled water circulation pump WBCL 2000.
3.10.4 Control panels There is digital cabin control panel directing ventilators working in air-handlers in salon, each cabin and forpeak. Moreover, there is a chiller control panel next to the entrance door in the saloon.
3.10.5 Chiller control In order to start the system, you need to press the On/Off key on the digital display. From there the electronic control unit takes care of progressive starting up of the air conditioning components, as well as its normal functioning. The chiller control digital display access to information and controls at three distinct levels (see fig. 17): Immediate Access Level 1 Room temperature read-out in the main 4 LED display window 3 small LEDs to indicate the operating cycle presently active: cool cycle, heat cycle, or automatic cycle. 2 set-point keys gives immediate access to the thermostatic set-points 59
Secondary commands and info Level 2 The F/Blower key gives immediate access to a number of secondary commands, which need to be accessed frequently for day to day operation. Programming commands and info Level 3 A number of programming commands that are not to be accessed for day to day operation are hidden and require a special procedure to enable access and modification. Individual cabins are controlled by digital cabin controls, which are completely independent from the central condensing unit i.e. there is no direct electrical or electronic link between the cabin control unit and central controller. The chilled water temperature sensor allows the cabin control to ascertain which cycle (heat or cool) is presently valid. A cabin control can be operated: - it can be switched off or turned on at any time by the end-user, - the end-user can set any temperature set-point as long as it is compatible with general operation mode valid (heat or cool), - blower operation can be individually controlled and programmed.

3.10.6 Cabin blower control The digital display will show the present room temperature of the cabin. Automatic blank/sleep mode programmable time delay. To go to normal operation push any key. It is possible to calibrate all speed settings (1 to 5). To do so enter programming mode with setpoint at 15 C.
3.10.7 Piping Chilled water circuit piping is showed in fig. No 60C16.H.00.004. Chilled water piping is in rigid plastic tubing of Georg Fisher ABS. Large radius elbows (2d) or 2 x 45o elbows was applied. Synthetic rubber foam insulation firm NMC was applied for isolation, its thickness is 13 mm (diameter >16 mm) and 9 mm (diameter 16 mm). There is a shut-off valve for feeding/return power or control valve for return in all handlers of TA Hydronics.

4.1.4. Ventilation in engine room Air intake to engine room is through air-grill Vetus supply located in board. Four intake ventilators were mounted. Two of them are switched on by the engine start others by a temperature sensor. Air is removed by Vetus extract air grill located in the transom.

4.2. Man-over-board

There are two horseshoe buoy with lights fitted at the rear of the boat. A life belt is also fitted to the rear of the boat with 30m of floatable rescue line. There are two swimming ladders that can be installed on the transom steps at the rear of the boat.
WARNING: The only way of entering the boat from the water is through the transom steps located in the aft part. There is also RAYMARINE LifeTag Man-over-board system installed.

4.3. Flares

Expiration dates should be checked regularly. The flares are located in the saloon, in the navigation station locker and they include: 3 red handflares 3 red parachutes red rockets 2 buoyant lifesmokes

4.4. Liferaft

There are two Solas A Zodiac life rafts, in flat pack containers. Both of them are located in aft beam lockers. Please check out the liferafts survival and inspection booklet. Periodic checks are mandatory.

4.5. EPIRB

There are two EPIRBs: -ACR model RLB-32 CAT I -ACR model RLB-32 CAT II and a radar transponder: - SART 9GHZ MARTEC SERPE-IESEM

4.6. Life jackets

There are 14 adult + children life jackets and buoyancy aids. They are all fitted with reflective tapes and are respectively of 100N and 50N.

4.7. Emergency tiller

One Jefa emergency tiller is stowed in the starboard afterpeak. The cover of the opening with the access to the emergency tiller hub may be removed easily with crank. If two tillers are to be used, please coordinate the steering actions to avoid problems and dangerous situations.

4.8. Medicine chests

The ships medicines and materials should be stored in an hermetic box. The list of contents should be adjusted to the individual needs and regularly updated in consultation with the family doctor.

4.9. Bilge pump system

AUTO pump automatically turns on, when only feels water in the section. MANUAL pump turns on manually and it works even when water is in or isnt in the section. If the sensor of the automatically pump disappoint, use this manual option.

Two sections for each hull need provisions for draining: the engine room living sections (central saloon, galley and cabins) The two compartments are equipped with automatic bilge pumps that pump directly overboard via non-return valve. These bilge pumps are made by Jabsco. Additionally there are two emergency manual bilge pumps installed.
