1.0 Overall Characteristics
The KP200 keypad is compatible with the following products: - MP200 System - MP04 Unit - CT100 Communicator - CT100SV Telephone Unit Designed for internal installation, the keypad has a 2-row, 16character, LCD display. It is equipped with retrolighting and anti-tampering/dust protection. The unit maintains the same distance between fastening holes as the standard TICINO Series 503 boxes, for ease of installation.

Use of a 4-conductor shielded cable, of which two wires with a 0.75 mm2 (+/-) section and two with a 0.22 mm2 (LA/ LB) section, is recommended for keypad connection. EXAMPLE OF A TYPICAL RS485 BUS CONNECTION

The keypad leds and the anti-tamper/anti-removal protection are not managed.

The maximum distance that can be reached is closely linked to the size of the power cable section (+ and -) of the serial line itself, and to the amount of absorption at the other end. In this regard, keep in mind that every 200 m of cable with 2x0.75 mm section with an absorption of 100 mA , causes the voltage to drop by about 1V.

IMPORTANT: Keypad consumption must be included in calculating overall system absorption, so as to allow for an adequate reserve supply in the battery being used.
