Using cleaner energy.

When the tap is opened, water passes through the generator, moves the turbine and generates enough current for the electronic circuit of the heater be activated. And when the tap is closed the current in the generator falls to zero and the heater switches off.

As no electric power supply or batteries are needed since it uses a Hydroelectric Generator, Fagors new imagin and platinium gas water heaters allow for a more economical and convenient installation both inside and outside the home. And, obviously, the bother of having to change used batteries is avoided, which is also environmentally-friendly.

Maximum safety and reliability.
Complete insulation between the water circuit and the electric circuit means safer operation. To ensure this, the joint between the pipes in the water section and the electric generator is magnetic. This minimizes risk in the electric section and damage caused by particles in the water is avoided.

More convenient to install.

As they are battery-operated, these models do not need to be connected to the power supply. The electronic ignition also detects the need for hot water and automatically lights the gas burner, turning it off again when hot water is no longer needed. This means you no longer have to turn the heater on every time you need hot water. Moreover, as the pilot flame is not on all the time, the models use a lot less gas than do conventional models (saving around 50 Euros a year).
Operation at very low pressures
Since their minimum operating pressure is only 0.12 bar, these gas water heaters can be installed in areas with very low water pressures. In addition, as their minimum flow is just 2.3 litres/min., they can operate perfectly when only small amounts of hot water are consumed, as the heater doesn't go out.

LCD display.

Interior installation models are equipped with a control panel fitted with a LCD display that makes it easy to control water heater operation: Displays hot water temperature, enabling highly accurate selection of desired temperature. Burner ignition indicator, avoiding the need for a pilot window on the heater cover. Fault codes for quick diagnosis and solution of operating anomalies: F0: Bad connection in NTC temperature sensor. Forced draught.

The Fagor gas water heaters models FEC-14TD/1 and FEC-11TD/1 have a powerful fan and differential air pressure switch fitted as standard to control their operation. It expels combustion gases when the natural draught of the chimney is not enough.

Installation standards.
The flue pipe can be connected directly to the outside, protecting the exterior end of the pipe with an appropriate deflector or individual chimney. For models FEC-14TD/1 and FEC-11TD/1, there is an optional 80 exhaust gas flue kit that includes a deflector (code 988010594). Connection to a shunt or collective chimney is not allowed. The maximum lengths for direct horizontal outlet are 10 metres (FEC11TD/1) and 6 metres (FEC-14TD/1). This length is reduced by 0.8 m for every additional 90 angle piece and 0.4 m for every additional 45 angle piece fitted.

Fagor has managed to bring the size of its 14and 11-litre forced draught heaters down to the same size as a natural draught 11-litre model. So the heaters can respond to the increased demand for hot water while taking up the least amount of space possible.

Maximum installation flexibility.
The FED-17/1, FE-14D/1 and FE-11D/1 have a coaxial outlet with a 60-100 mm. The maximum flue lengths with the flue kit 60- 100 mm. (optional, code 988010237) are up to 4 metres in the FE-11D/1 model and up to 3 metres. In FED-17/1 and FE-14D/1. It is also possible to use the coaxial kits of 80-125 mm, which provide a maximum length of 10 metres in the FE-11D/1 model, 8 metres in the FED-17/1 model and 6 metres in the FE-14D/1 model, horizontally or vertically. These models can also have separate flue tubes for the burnt gases and air inlets (up to 40 metres in the FE-11D/1 model, up to 18 metres in the FED-17/1 model and 10 metres in the FE-14D/1 model); these options give the installer plenty of choices as to how and where to install the heater.

Air from the home is not used.
System operation is completely safe because the heater does not use the air in the room where it is installed. The water heater uses a coaxial pipe and a powerful fan to draw the air it needs for combustion from outside, and then expels burnt gases outside your home. The water heater therefore operates completely independently from the room where it is installed, making it ideal for use in aggressive environments (bathrooms, hairdressers, dry cleaners).
