IFA 2006: a new generation of the Falk N series and the future of travel
New Falk N series with the motto Arrive safely / funky City Guide Vision travel companion featuring futuristic elements
The theme of navigation has been hugely popular even before the start of the international consumer electronics fair in Berlin. Falk Marco Polo Interactive, the navigation expert, will be presenting its range of products at this years IFA under the motto The Future of Travel and will be using IFA 2006 as the platform to relaunch its popular N series range of mobile PNDs (Portable Navigation Devices). It will be presented at IFA 2006 in hall 8.1, at stand 114 to the wider public for the first time. A second highlight at the IFA is a view of the City Guide of the future: the City Guide Vision is a prototype for an application which will play a visionary role in shaping the future of travel. A solution like this will make it possible for the first time to navigate futuristically and interactively: not only are users guided from A to B, they also receive extra multimedia information in the form of pictures, sound, video and 3D images as they navigate. These include funky birds-eye views allowing you to gain impressions inside places of interest which you could not previously see.

The new N series offers greater reliability The new generation of the Falk N series consisting of the Falk N30, N40, N80, N120 and N200 is based on the completely revised Falk Navigator 5 software. Its motto is Arrive safely: Falk is planning to optimise the software in a range of different ways, as well as totally new functions and numerous improvements which will add the finishing touch to the successful N series. This means that the new N series will ensure you arrive safely and free of any stress. The future has arrived: futuristic navigation People visiting the IFA will encounter an experiment with the presentation of the prototype for the City Guide Vision: the intention is that it will provide travellers with exciting new views within places of interest. A new way of preparing for journeys with a 3D experience will be offered by the guided tours which will range from predefined city tours through to cleverly planned adventures. Within the places of interest, even the most detailed of features will be illustrated. Descending just like Spiderman, you will be able to enjoy the most unusual views. For instance, you can swoop down from the glass dome of the German parliament building into the debating chamber, or enjoy the view from the dome across the Berlin skyline. ***
