Installation Instructions For 2001-Newer Ford Excursion, and 1999-Newer F250, F350, F450, F550 & F750 Super Duty FP-102 Base
The FP-102 (01-Newer Excursion and 99-Newer F250 - F750) is a no-holes base. Installing a no-holes base does not require drilling any holes into the vehicle. The base mounts under the seat bracket and is compressed to the floor using the seat bolts. Note: For extra stability, the use of a Brace 2 or Brace 3 support brace is recommended. Mounting the FP-102 Base to a passenger side bucket seat: (See Figure 1) 1. Remove the front seat bolts from the passenger seat. While lifting the front of the seat, slide the legs of the FP-102 under the passenger seat mounting brackets. When the legs of the FP-102 are centered under the seat mounting brackets, let the seat settle back into place. The legs of the seat brackets each have a large depression where the seat bolt passes through. These depressions will align with the holes in the legs of the FP-102. 2. If you have difficulty aligning the front seat bolts with the FP-102 in place, try loosening the rear seat bolts. This will give you enough play to align the holes. 3. Fasten the front passenger seat and the FP-102 with the seat bolts that were removed in step 1. 4. Tighten the rear seat bolts if they had to be loosened. Figure 1

Mounting the FP-102 Base to a bench seat: (See Figure 2) 1. Remove the front seat bolt from the passenger side of the seat. While lifting the front of the seat, slide the outer leg of the FP-102 under the passenger seat mounting bracket. When the leg of the FP-102 is centered under the seat mounting bracket, let the seat settle back into place. The leg of the seat bracket has a large depression where the seat bolt passes through. This depression will align with the hole in the leg of the FP-102. 2. Most Ford vehicle floor pans (when used with a bench seat) have a hole in the floor with a welded nut on the underside of the vehicle. This hole is usually covered with a plastic plug. If there is no existing factory hole in the floor pan, you must drill one. 3. Cut a small hole in the floor covering and remove the plastic plug. 4. Place the bench seat spacer (supplied in the hardware bag) in the hole of the inner leg of the FP-102. Align the hole in the spacer with the hole in the floor. 5. Tighten down the inner leg of the FP-102 with the M12 x 38MM long bolt and bench seat washer that were supplied in the hardware bag. If it was necessary to drill a hole in the floor of the vehicle, a fender washer and lock nut will be required on the underside of the vehicle to tighten down the base. 6. Tighten down the passenger side of the seat and the outer leg of the FP-102 with the seat bolt that was removed in step 1. Figure 2

FRONT OF VEHICLE DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
1. Park vehicle on level, hard (concrete) surface. 2. Block the rear wheels of the vehicle to prevent vehicle from moving in either direction and set parking brake. 3. Remove front bumper by removing (2) outer 13mm brace bolts and the (4) 18mm bolts from front of bumper. If the vehicle contains a crash bar below the bumper, it must be removed. To accomplish this, remove the (6) 21mm nuts. While supporting the bumper, disconnect the (2) lighting harness plugs and wiring harness from bumper (if applicable), and the (3) plastic push clips in the rubber shield. Carefully remove bumper, making sure not to scratch the paint on the front fenders. 4. To make access to spring eye bolts, remove (2) 8mm bolts at the lower corner supports of air conditioning cooler and remove supports. See Illustration 1. 5. Remove the track bar bolt (30 mm) (save for later use) on the driver side of the frame mount (see illustration 2), and the tie rod end from the pitman arm. 6. Raise the front of vehicle and support with jack stands on the frame behind the front springs. 7. Remove the front wheels. 8. Support the front axle with a floor jack. 9. Remove sway bar end links on both sides. Save the 15mm bolts, to use for reassembly. 10. Remove front shocks (saving bolts for reinstallation). 11. Carefully bend brake line bracket at frame to horizontal position (see illustration 3). 12. While supporting front differential with a floor jack, remove driver side U-bolts. 13. Remove front driver side leaf spring front nuts (27mm) and rear nuts (21mm), leaving spring eye bolts in place. 14. Lower axle to clear spring. Remove spring bolts and spring.

TECH TIP: Factory spring bolts are secured with loctite, which makes removal difficult. By warming the nut with
a propane torch to approx. 300 degrees Fahrenheit, the loctite will release and the hardware can be removed with hand tools. (WARNING: Have Fire Extinguisher handy whenever using a open flame on or near any vehicle.) 15. Install new Revtek spring using existing hardware. DO NOT TIGHTEN. 16. Raise axle to spring and secure with new 9/16 U-bolts and nuts supplied, making sure center pin is seated properly. 17. Repeat steps on passenger side
