Passive cooled, and quiet, "Check!". 7900 gtx performance when overclocked, "Check!". Can be cooled much easier with passive cooler, "Check!".

I have an older (from 2003) computer that still worked well, although it was in dire need of some updating. I decided to get it a new hard drive.

I know my review is well behind the others already on here, but I only bought my 8800GTX around a month or so ago. Either way. I managed to buy this card for a very cheap price, as the new series of graphics cards had just been released. The stereotypical view of a gaming pc is that of a ludicrously expensive, liquid nitrogen cooled.

Cards are getting REAL cheap, and there are tons to choose from. Decent 256MB card that supports 8x AGP.Price is $40 by now. I would consider this a Budget card. I notice...  101 CAD (35$ US rebate), big difference between ATI Radeon X200 Not good with DX10 games I would consider this a Budget card. I notice a big difference increase in my FPS in games between ATI Radeon X200 (integrated).

"This card is a powerhouse. It worked great with every game I threw at it, even Crysis. If you turn up the fan speed a bit, it overclocks well too. "Best graphic card out in the market for its price! Great FPS!" Best Card to Price Ratio! "This is a great video card for playing games and watching high definition movies. It supports H.

Even with two additional fans, one above one below, it was still running pretty warm Good for the money Died after 2 years, runs hot I run this as a secondary video card in my PC.

I needed a board that could support 2560X1600 resolution and run on my system that has a 240 Watt power supply. This card does it great.

Pros: EXCELLENT LINUX SUPPORT, Silent, 256mb, DDR2, Dual monitor out, optional low profile bracket. Cons: AGP, not the fastest card around. well, its not a such high-end processor. but i strongly recommend it because of its value for money.

THE TRANSPORT, Rather than use an old overrevolution started. Fostex introduced weight clunker, we created a new, 8 tracks on quarter-inch tape with streamlined transport for the A-8. built-in Dolby C. NR. Designed exclusively for multitrack
Since overdubbing is the essence of the multitrack tape recorder, the A-8 was designed to record on up to four tracks at a time. It continues to work like a charm But some applications require the capabilty of recording on up to all eight tracks at once, thus the A-8LR. It weighs only 29 pounds and is about the size of twenty albums stacked together, which rnakes it ideal for remote recording and other multiple microphone applications.

applications.

DESIGN CON SIDERATION S. In the spring of 1981 a quiet
THE ELECTRONICS. If "8 tracks on %" tape"

sounds

amazing, wait until you hear the A-8. The sound is really impressive.
Three high-efficiency DC motors are used. They consume'less power, generate less heat, provide lower overall weight and bulk, and deliver better slow.speed stability than the AC motors in popular use. There's a servo circuit on the capstan motor to elininate speed variafions. The transport commands are all IC logic-controlled. And there's full motion-sensing in all modes to eliminate tape stretch and breaking.
The A-8 has our newly designed DC FET repro amp. A full frequency response sync head (for truer sync playback fidelity). And built-in Dolby * noise reduction (defeatable for C alignment). Servicing is easy, too. The botton panel fips out to give you access to a.ll the calibration controls. All the record./play electronics are on plug-in cards. The transport electronics are located on a hinged PC board. And most courponents (ICs, etc.) use industry-standard part numbers for ready availabilty.
