New to Digital Photography. Having talked to other digital camera owners I figured that 2 million pixels would be adequate for my needs. Quality, practicality and value for money! This is my second Fujifilm camera, the first being 1.

FinePix S304, FinePix A303, FinePix A203, FinePix A204, and FinePix A202
New line of digital cameras combines affordable prices, easy operation, and superior image quality PHOTOKINA 2002, COLOGNE, GERMANY, September 25, 2002 Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. is proud to exhibit and demonstrate five new popularly priced FinePix digital cameras: the FinePix S304, A303, A203, A204, and A202. Designed to offer the style and convenience of traditional point-and-shoot film cameras, the new models will be showcased at the Fujifilm PHOTOKINA 2002 booth. The market for digital cameras is currently growing strongly, with some 17 million units shipped worldwide in 2001 and a further 22 million units expected to be sold in 2002 according to our estimation. Their specifications have risen in step. In 1999, 1-megapixel models dominated the market and 2-megapixel Super CCD models were introduced by Fujifilm in 2000. In the year 2001, 2-megapixel digital cameras become the market leaders, while 3-megapixel models were introduced to strong demand. Based on the continuation of these trends this year, Fujifilm predicts that the bulk of the market from late 2002 through 2003 will comprise zoom and non-zoom models in the 2 to 3-megapixel range. The new FinePix models respond to these consumer needs by offering a digital camera experience that combines affordable price, easy operation, and superior image quality. These new models also support xD-Picture Card, the brand new digital camera media that provides expanded media capacity. Fujifilm believes that they represent a new level of cost performance in the 2 to 3-megapixel digital camera market.
The 3-megapixel high performance FinePix S304 With 3.24 million effective pixels, the FinePix S304 produces super high-quality images of 2048 x 1536 recording pixels. This new camera delivers laser-sharp details and brilliant color reproduction. With its SLR-like styling, high-performance Fujinon 6x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 38228mm coverage on a 35mm camera), electronic viewfinder (EVF) and TFT LCD monitor, the FinePix S304, incorporating functions inherited from the top of line FinePix S602 Zoom, is an affordable alternative that is ready for serious photography. The FinePix S304 offers a host of features, including Program AE combined with 64zone TTL metering and Intelligent Auto White Balance, digital zooming capability of up to 3.2x (in 640 x 480-pixel mode), Movie Recording of up to 200 seconds* (with sound), built-in flash, USB port, energy-saving design (operating on four AA alkaline batteries), and xD-Picture Card compatibility. Further adding to S304 convenience are an optional 1.5x Tele Conversion lens and a 0.79x Wide Conversion lens.
