As a Canon XTi user (w/a Canon EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS as my main lens), my G9 has a high bar to meet for image sharpness. I have been using this camera for 18 months and it has produced some really good results. It is very well constructed.

This is the basis of P and S, with all the features you need. Very flexible camera, I had the A650, but I sell. A lot of digital photography is always at DC. However, when we walk world, one with a pile of lens, perhaps a heap of attachment.

I can use it to take easy pictures, i.e. family, animals ; Point and shoot!! My hubby can use it to get real creative when taking landscape photos.

The Canon G9 surprises me a lot. it is a great little camera that is not a compact but also not a bridge or dslr camera . I have had my camera for almost 3 years now and have loved it all the way. I have had my camera for almost 3 years now and have loved it all the way.

Just OK I purchased this a year ago and am growing more disappointed. The wide angle lens gets distorted at the edges very visibly on all shots.

I have to admit, when I purchased this camera I was a little nervous. There was a lot of hype surrounding it. The people at Best Buy, my friends. I purchased the Canon G9 2.5 months ago, I have taken pictures on multiple settings and it is an inferior product that takes average pictures.

Photography is one of my few serious hobbies. Late last year, I bought myself the newest Semi-Professional SLR Canon had to offer -- the EOS 40D.

Surprisingly good camera for most photographing purposes. Better than cheap SLR kits. Fast enough to handle. Can store your favourite setups. This is my first Digital purchase. I have stayed with my Nikon F5 (and prime lenses) and Contax G1 for some time and used good film scanners. I have spent much of my career looking for the affordable old style journalist camera which could be brought up to the face to snap a shot without dra...

The Digital Selective Calling (DSC) system is one of the essential elements of the GMDSS, the automated digital communication system developed by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) to enhance navigational safety. The DSC system can also be used to quickly and efficiently establish routine communications with other ships and coast stations that are DSC equipped. The DSC-6/6A both consist of a combined encoder and decoder for generating and receiving digital selective calls. When used in conjunction with a FURUNO MF/HF transmitter/receiver they provide full automatic control of transmit and receive frequency, class of emission, and other parameters as entered from the front panel or contained in the telecommand information in an
incoming call. They also allow scanning of distress or routine DSC frequencies via an appropriate FURUNO receiver. In an emergency the DSC-6/6A transmits a distress alert via the radio equipment five seconds after pressing the [DISTRESS] button. When the DSC Watch Receiver AA-50 is connected, the DSC-6 processes the messages received on the MF/HF DSC distress and safety frequencies. The DSC-6A incorporates an independent receiver which keeps a continuous watch on MF DSC frequency 2187.5 kHz.
The future today with FURUNO's electronics technology.
