Far Cry has players controlling mercenary Jack Carver, who has recently arrives a tropical island to find himself alone and outgunned against a mysterious militia. Enemy units include scouts, stalkers, snipers, and grenadiers, each of whom can call for reinforcements to arrive by land, sea, or air.

Ubisoft Blue Byte Blue Byte was founded in Dsseldorf, Germany 1988 by Thomas Herzler and a colleague, both veterans of Rainbow Arts. Blue Bytes goal was to create and market real time strategy games. The studios first hit came in 1991 with Battle Isle, followed in 1993 with the perennial favorite The Settlers. Blue Byte became a wholly owned subsidiary of Ubisoft in 2001 and the 20 team members continue to contribute to the Settlers series, releasing The Settlers V: Heritage of Kings in 2005. Ubisoft Barcelona Ubisoft Barcelona opened its doors in 1998. The team started working on racing games such as Pro Rally 2000 and F1 Racing, and recently the 29 team members developed Monster 4X4 World Circuit for Wii and are hard at work on the Wii instalment of Driver.
Ubisoft Tiwak Tiwak was founded in 2000 by Yann Le Tensorer, a veteran of Ubisoft and key member of the creative team behind Rayman, Rayman 2 the Great Escape and Beyond Good and Evil. With a team of 7, Tiwak produced Yeti, a powerful game engine built especially for next-gen consoles. In January 2004, Tiwak became a wholly owned subsidiary of Ubisoft and the team has since been crucial to the creativity and innovation of many Ubisoft titles. The Tiwak team of 30 people brought its unique technical and creative prowess to important projects like Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for which they did the conception and pre-production. The team continues to grow and is currently working on conception for an upcoming high-profile Hollywood licensed project. Ubisoft Quebec City Ubisoft opened the doors of its Quebec City studio in April 2005 to take advantage of the talent in the region. Today, Quebec City has more than 100 employees and is growing quickly. Led by General Manager Nicolas Rioux, Ubisoft Quebec City aims to be the best development studio in Quebec City with a goal of growing to 200 designers, animators and programmers. They have recently produced many handhelds games such as Open Season or Tom Clancys Rainbow Six Vegas for the PSP.
Ubisoft Bulgaria In June 2006, 21 team members from the Ubisoft Romania studio launched a satellite studio in the capital of Bulgaria, immediately recruiting from the pool of talented local artists. Their first project was to develop the PC version of Rayman Raving Rabbids and they are now working on the PS2 version of CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder.
Ubisoft Reflections Reflections Interactive was founded in 1985 by Martin Edmonson and has developed major video games such as Shadow of the Beast (1989), Destruction Derby (1994), Driver (1999) and Stuntman (2002). Currently managed by Gareth Edmondson, Reflections Interactives 80 team members are hard at work on the creation of a next-generation iteration of the Driver brand.
