Far Cry has players controlling mercenary Jack Carver, who has recently arrives a tropical island to find himself alone and outgunned against a mysterious militia. The game runs on developer Crytek Studios' own "CryENGINE," which features unpredictable enemies that use group tactics to make Carver's job more difficult. Enemy units include scouts, stalkers, snipers, and grenadiers, each of whom can call for reinforcements to arrive by land, sea, or air.

I had heard a lot about this game before buying it (Halo fans are difficult to please), but let me tell you: This game is amazing. graphics.

I was bought Far Cry Instincts for Christmas 2005 and having briefly checked which was the fire button, jumped straight in.

One of the best game that i have ever played. I never expected the game to be so realistic. The interaction with the environment was amazing.

Played this game on the PC and liked it. I played this reworking on the XBOX and I liked it. Story is your usual FPS setup, man in peril.
