Return to Castle Wolfenstein is a first person shooter computer game published by Activision and originally released on November 19, 2001 for Windows. The single player game was developed by Gray Matter Interactive and Nerve Software developed its multiplayer mode. Id Software, the creators of the original game entitled Wolfenstein 3D, oversaw the development of the game and were credited as executive producers. The multiplayer side, developed by Nerve Software, eventually became the most popular part of the game, and it grandfathered in many features that online multiplayer FPSs have today. Splash Damage, an independently-owned game developer in London, England, and one of the leading Shooter developers in Europe, created some of the maps for the GOTY edition.( Wikipedia)CHEATSThe following codes will work on the single player retail version of the game, and only on a saved game. They do not work in the demo or multi-player games. Edit your Windows 9x/ME Desktop Shortcut for the game and change the "Target" field to: "C:Program FilesReturn to Castle WolfensteinWolfSP.exe" set sv_cheats 1 If using Windows XP, right click on the single play shortcut. On the "Command Line", make sure the command line is in quotes and add set sv_cheats after a space, so it resembles: "drive:pathfolderWolfSP.exe" set sv_cheats 1Alternately, open an MS-DOS prompt, use the cd command to change to the game directory and start the game with the wolfsp set sv_cheats 1 command line. Edit the path as necessary if you installed the game to another location. Start the game. Press ~ during game play to display the console window. Enter one of the following codes to activate the corresponding cheat function. Please note: The codes only work when you load a saved game. They do not work when you start a new game. In order to do this, start a new game, then save it. Display the console and type /killserver. Then, go to the load menu and load the game that was just saved. The cheats will now be enabled.
