Resident Evil Code: Veronica is the fourth game in Capcom's Resident Evil survival horror series originally released for the Sega Dreamcast in 2000. It's notable for being the first Resident Evil title to debut on a non-Sony platform, as opposed to the first three installments, which were originally PlayStation games before being ported to other platforms. An updated version of the game titled Code: Veronica X was released for the Sega Dreamcast (Japan only) and Sony PlayStation 2 in 2001. This new version includes new cut scenes spliced into the main game and mild graphical changes. It was the first game in the series made for a sixth generation console, and also the first core title in the series, prior to the release of Resident Evil 4, to use full polygonal environments over the static, pre-rendered backgrounds that characterized the series. Code: Veronica is the first Resident Evil game in the main series to use 3D backgrounds instead of the traditional pre-rendered ones. Despite this, the camera does not follow the player around, but swings between semi-fixed angles (similar to the original Dino Crisis). However, two weapons in the game (a sniper rifle and a linear launcher) can be fired from the character's point of view and a first person view mode is available in the game's unlockable "Battle Mode" minigame. Infinite Rocket Launcher (Normal Game) - Beat the game with a ranking of A and you will find it in the first item box you come across. Play as Albert Wesker In Battle Mode Clear the Battle mode with Chris Redfield. Play As Alternate Claire In Battle Mode - Clear the Battle mode with the original Claire in battle mode. Play as Steve Burnside In Battle Mode - Perform well with the original Chris in battle mode. Unlock Linear Launcher in Battle Mode - Get an ''A'' Rank with all the Battle Game Characters. GlitchesEasy Hawk Emblem.After you've collected the TG-01 go back to the 3-D duplicator and before putting in the Hawk Emblem and TG-01 into the machine, walk through the metal detector with any metallic object to sound the alarm.(while on the 3-D duplicator side or you will be locked out.) With the shutters down the three zombies cannot break the windows. After the 3-D duplicator is finished all you have to do is push the button to lift the shutters and take the duplicated Hawk Emblem without losing any health.Here's the video guide for an easier play:

Resident Evil Code: Veronica is the first Resident Evil game to use a 3D background instead of pre-rendered ones. However, the player still has no control over the camera as the swings between semi fixed angles. However two weapons (the Sniper Rifle and Linear Launcher) can be fired from the character's view and the unlockable minigame has a first person mode available.Many features have been brought over from RE3 (since both were created in tandem) such as oil drums and a 180 degree turn. Items from Resident Evil 2, such as upgradeable handgun parts and "side packs" for larger item capacity are featured, as well as new weapons such as explosive crossbow bolts and Anti-B.O.W. rounds for the grenade launcher. A unique feature is the ability to dual wield pistol letting the player target two enemies at once. Some less dynamic changes are the addition of continues and the ability to pick and use herbs when one's inventory is full.
