The Bouncer, the future of Streets of Rage, they are both very similar, accept the Bouncer is unique in a way. The game is about 3 bar tenders, Sion.

Streets of Rage, this is the first beat-em-up game that Square-Enix has made, and it is called The Bouncer. It is a fighting game. Is not a coincidence as the Japanese are usually the ones that are best on RPGs which are my favourite style of game.

This was another launch game for the ps2 and great things where expected from this. Unfortuntaley it was a major let down.

The Bouncer is a video game developed by Dream Factory Co. Ltd and published by Square Co. It was released in 2000 on just one platform, the PlayStation 2 gaming console from Sony. This is a title which mixes action and role playing game elements and is played from a third person perspective. There are elements of martial arts games and from sci-fi titles.The release is built around the experiences of the employees of a bar. Dominique, a young girl who also served as the mascot of the bar and the best friend of one of the bouncers, Sion, has been kidnapped by the Mikado Special Forces, one of the worst secret organizations in the game world. The three bouncers of the bar, Fate, Sion and Kou, are angry because of the kidnapping and will go up against the Mikado Special Forces to set the young girl free.The game is billed as an "interactive action film" and the narrative is delivered to the player by way of a wide array of cut scenes. The three bouncers of the bar are always together as the story progresses and they fight in all the battles, so the player gets to choose whom he wants to control at the beginning of each encounter. As the game unfolds, the three advance in rank and get new moves and power ups which can help in the fight against the Mikado.UNLOCKABLESAlternate costumesHold L1, L2, R1, or R2 and press X choose a person at the character selection screen. Note: This has no effect in story mode.Hidden FMV sequenceSuccessfully complete the game as Sion.Bonus characters Successfully complete the game in story mode to unlock more characters each time that it is finished.Successfully complete the game (not in story mode) once to unlock Echidna, Dauragon1, Dauragon2, Dauragon3, Mogetsu, Mogetsu unmasked, PD-4, Dominique, and Kaldea.Increased character rankEvery time the game is completed in story mode, the rank of the extra characters in versus and survival modes will increase. Most of the time, everyone will team up against an enemy at the same time. This move will mostly always be blocked by the final Boss.Team sacrificesDo not worry if one of your CPU controlled partners is defeated. As long as you are still standing, they will return for the next battle.Bar Fate battleThe first battle is in Bar Fate, with MSF Agents as your opponents. Get used to the play mechanics and gain some experience by yourself. It does not really matter if you win this fight or not, as it is one of the few that you can actually lose without the game ending. Get a feel for what chains work best for the Bouncer you have chosen. Here's a trailer:

There is the massive Volt, strong and silent type with a pierced face and horn implants jutting out of his forehead; Kao, the multi-tattooed wise-cracker who's as handy with a joke as he is with a fist to the face; and Sion, a young fighter who brims over with a quiet sorrow. Together, they keep Fate clean of the riff-raff, while Sion takes care of a once homeless girl named Dominique Cross, who has become sort of the mascot of the bar itself.
