| Not with the quasi-sequel to Virtua Fighter 4 - Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution. In my honest opinion this is the best. Introduction-------- Virtual Fighter 4: Evolution is a Sega PlayStation 2 exclusive beat-em-up game. Evolution is an update to Virtual Fighetr 4. Work in 3 dimensions was Virtua Fighter in the arcades. Made by AM2. Stand face to face with some of the greatest warriors around the world. The classic warriors are here, and some new chalangers. | |

Anime Society 3rd Annual Fighting Game Tournament
Rules and Regulations
General
Entry Fee will be $5. This grants the right to play in all eight games. The tournament will be held in the Arts and Administration building at MUN, in room 1046 (First floor atrium area.) The tournament will be held on November 25th, 26th, and maybe 27th depending on how long it takes. Registration will be at 7:00PM on Friday, tournament starts at 7:30PM and runs until 11:30PM Registration on Saturday and Sunday (For those who didn't show up on other days.) will be from 12:00 - 12:30PM. The tournament will run from 12:30 - 11:30 on these two days. Match-ups (Who will fight who) will be determined randomly All levels will be set to random in all games that have such options. Time will be on for the amounts considered standard in each game. Once you choose a character or team, you are expected to keep that character or team. Players will be allowed to configure their controls for the games before the match starts. (Allowing single buttons to count as multiple buttons WILL be allowed) All two-dimensional fighters will be played best two of three rounds. All 3-D fighters will be played best 3 of 5. Single elimination. If you are more then 5 minutes late for a match, it is considered a loss. Good sportsmanship is expected. Bad sportsmanship will cause the instigator to get a verbal warning, and if repeated, dismissal from the tournament. The format will be 8 games. A single elimination tournament will ensue for each game. The winner of each game will get 5% of the pot as a prize, and entry into the final fighting game. If someone who won a game tournament wins another game tournament, then the person who got second will be considered to have won for purposes of entering the final game. However the prize money will still go to the person who placed first. (In case of the second place player having already won a game, it will go to the third place winner and so on down the line.) The final game will be a fighting game voted on by REGISTERED spectators (Registered people not playing in the final game). In the case of a draw, all options but the ones who are tied will be removed and voting will commence. The one with the highest number of votes will be chosen and played. These matches will be best 2 out of three matches. Prizes will be 15% of pot for 1st, 10% for 2nd, and 5% for 3rd. There will be a 10 minute break in-between each game. (On Saturday/Sunday there will be a special half an hour "dinner break at the end of whichever game falls closest to ending at around 5:30 - 6:30. Players will be allowed to bring their own controllers/sticks and use them in the tournament. There will be PS2 adapters for the Dreamcast and Xbox. Therefore people will be allowed to use PS2 controllers or sticks on these systems. There will be extra console set-ups aside from the tournament for casual play during breaks and when they're not playing at the tournament. Players are encouraged to bring their own systems, games, power bars, and portable TV's for playing. I do not take responsibility for any damaged items unless personally damaged by me. While extra gaming systems for casual play will be allowed, I will request that if these extra cords and systems cause clutter, that the offending systems be moved or removed one by one until the clutter is removed. (IE: You can have your systems as long as they don't make moving around difficult. If they do, move them so they don't, or remove any number of them until they are no longer a problem) The TO will be allowed to play in the tournament only if they have the consent of all registered players at the start of the tournament.

We should be able to get 3-4 games done on Friday (As such Friday will be GGXX: Reloaded, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, and Virtual Fighter 4: EVO, and maybe Super Street Fighter 2 if we have time.). By the end of Saturday the tournament should be finished. If it is not finished on Saturday, then it will be finished on Sunday. Games will proceed in this order and we will get done whatever we can on each day and hope to finish as quickly as we can. AND PLEASE! Please bring whatever systems, TVs, or hook-ups that you can. Id like to have as many gaming stations on the side as possible. All rules are subject to change by the TO! And most of all - have a good time!
