1. Touch matters! Program is running and you see the map. Slide your finger on the screen and you will pan the map.
Icons and their functions: Shows/hides zoom control button Zoom in control button Zoom out control button Opens system settings menu Switches to navigation window Indicates GPS signal availability and quality. Touching this icon puts current position in the center of the screen

Clicking on the map area shows the street name of the corresponding location and available actions. sets the destination, calculates the route to destination and starts the guidance mode adds the selected location into personal favorites starts the search process to find points of interest around selected location sets the location as the starting point sets the location as the waypoint on the route sets the location as the destination
2. The guidance to the location The most common task in the navigation system is guidance towards the known location. In this example destination is address in the city of ibenik, Stjepana Radia 15 street. In GoClever Map2.5 software this task is performed in the following way: 1. 2. brings up the main menu (icon is in the starting window) Brings up possible search locations Search engine displays fields for the input of address elements and the touch screen keyboard. It is not necessary to input full address.
Starts the search of the address by the input criteria
It is necessary to select wanted location from the list (in this example by clicking item A):
sets the selected location as destination, calculates the route, starts the guidance mode and opens guidance window
3. The navigation window The navigation window provides navigation data. On the top of the window is a caption showing the name of current object (commonly: a street you are in) and the name of the object after the maneuver, i.e. description of the next maneuver from where we are coming. shows the next maneuver using the portion of the map that represents the real geometry of the intersection the distance to the next maneuver the distance to the destination and the estimated duration of the journey current speed displays GPS signal quality back to main window Time display in local time zone Important! In the case of an erroneous maneuver the routing algorithm will try to reroute you automatically. 3.1. Changing software settings form the navigation window Signal quality display area also functions as icon for opening navigation system settings menu. Touching the field opens the menu: erases route toggles layout/perspective view of the map (2D/3D) displays route settings menu displays voice navigation settings menu enables skipping of some waypoint. This command should be used if the waypoint is of no interest or use to the driver any more. Since the software will automatically recalculate the route if the waypoint is removed, its needed to explicitly say Skip waypoint 7 Displays audio volume settings menu Displays mode (day/night display of the navigation window), keyboard and safety camera locations menu.

4. General features of Goclever Map 2.5 The basis of the software GUI is use of control buttons that bring up menus with appropriate context. Using GoClever Map 2.5 is basically like using mobile phone: in the center of attention is navigation object (typed number on the mobile phone). Choosing the location navigation object opens the possibility of navigation to the object, or other actions. Similarity with mobile phone: it is possible to call, store (in personal address book) typed number, or to perform any other provided action. In case of doubt about the function of the button, keep the button depressed longer than 1,5 sec and tool tip describing of the buttons functionality will appear:
It is NOT NECESSARY to enter the name of the country regardless of the map coverage when choosing city or address. The choice Center of the city automatically assigns center of the city or village as the chosen location. The choice of the address requires entry of the city name, the street name and the house number. Diacritic characters it is not necessary to input diacritic characters (, , , , ). In the place of diacritic characters it is enough to input standard substitutes (c, z, d, u, o). POI on the map -performs the search of the POIs on the portion of the map visible on the screen. POI on the route - performs search for POIs along the current route. More precisely, POI will be found as on the route if detour from the main route is less than 90 seconds. X/Y search - signifies the search based on longitude and the latitude. The values can be entered in two ways:

6. Using the search engine
CITY CENTRE icon is used for quick search of place or town, without need to input address. ADDRESS icon is used when searching exact location of particular street number. IMPORTANT! To input address which always contains city, it is important to click ONLY on address icon (not city centre too). Icon POI on the map should be used for the search of the POIs contained in the area of the map visible on the screen. Icon POI on the route should be used for the search of POIs that are not more than 1.5 min away from the route. Icon X/Y should be used for the locations given by its latitude and longitude. Icon POSTAL CODE can be used in the cases when postal code of the location searched for. Choice of postal code as the search criteria will position the location into the center of the city described by the given postal code. 10

7. Preview, selection and actions with search result
This window is brought up as soon as the search is completed. It enables choice of locations and gives list of possible actions with chosen locations. User can choose the location by touching the wanted location field, after which the background of the selected field gets highlighted. The actions performed with selected list item are represented with the icons shown in the lower left corner of the window: Sets location as destination, calculates the route, starts the guidance mode and opens navigation window Brings up the menu that allows setting of the selected location as: start (route start) Waypoint (location that should be encountered during the route) Destination (route end) Allows copying of the chosen list item in personal choice folder. Location can be stored with arbitrary name or no name. For example address can be stored as the Africa, like the name of the bar, or it is possible to store address only. Opens window with last search which can be better defined Example: The address searched for is Veslacka ulica , No 6 in Zagreb:
Clicking the field automatically shows the location of chosen item. Expands or contracts size of the shown area
7.1. The guidance towards chosen destination (GUIDE ME TO): Sets location as destination, calculates the route, starts the guidance mode and brings up the guidance window. This action requires available GPS signal.
7.2. Route calculation including selected location (What is trip duration between Veslaka 6, Zagreb and Forim square, Pula?) 7.3. Storing selected location as the favorite Stores the selected location as favorite. Clicking the icon brings up window for the entry of the name to be stored as the name of elected location in personal favorites: folder: Write the name of location such as Dubravka

Brings up personal folders menu Clicking the icon of a choice (for example Personal) will store favorite named Dubravka (address Veslaka 6, Zagreb) in the personal favorites folder. Folders are just a way of organizing personal favorites in order to retrieve them more easy and fast.
8. Route overview, calculation and editing
This window is shown if the location is chosen as the part of the route (starting point, waypoint or destination) or by touching icon Current route in the main menu. Icons in the lower left corner represent possible route actions: Calculates the route based on the given starting and destination point Brings up menu that allows route actions : Deletes the route Selects simulation (flyover) mode of a given route Sets calculated route as the route that will be used for navigation. Starts calculation of the route and if GPS signal is available takes the instant position as the start of the route. 8.1. Calculating route between two locations Locations: Veslaka 6, Zagreb Forum 6, Pula

8.3. Route calculation settings overview and editing Brings up window for route settings and calculation Saves the settings and brings back previous window Settings are active for all future route calculations. Change of the settings does not apply on current route.

9. Adding, reviewing and editing personal favorites Locations can be saved as personal favorites. One way is to add wanted location directly on the map: brings up the menu for saving waypoint in to the personal favorites folder

Locations obtained on any way, POI, addresses or places defined only by longitude and latitudes can be saved on the same way.
Icons in the personal favorites editing window: Adds selected location as favorite. Location can be saved with arbitrary name or without the name. For example, address can be saved as Africa, according to bar name, or only address can be saved. When a favorite is defined as waypoint, system automatically displays editing and route selection window with starting point, waypoints and destination displayed. To handle personal favorites it is necessary to open appropriate window (window for handling personal favorites) by touching the main menu icon. 24
10. Using address book data

For photos to be available they must be georeferenced and saved in the Photos directory. Photos directory must be in the same folder as the Cardinale.exe.
