Over-temperature protection Primary & bad battery detection 4 dual colour LED indicators Ventilation fan Operating Instructions: 1. Charge either 1 to 4 AA or 1 to 4 AAA NiMH batteries. 2. Open the top cover. Insert GP NiMH AA batteries into the charging slots by pressing down the charging platform of negative terminal. Observe polarity indicators (+/-) to avoid reverse charging. (Fig. 1) 3. To charge AAA batteries, simply insert batteries on the platform. (Fig.2) 4. Connect GP AC 2.5A adaptor with its corresponding plug to the charger and plug it into the power source (Fig.3) OR connect GP DC 12V car adaptor cord to the charger and plug it into the cigarette lighter jack (Fig.4 ). 5. LED indicator(s) will light up in red showing charging in progress. The red light will turn green when the battery is fully charged. Trickle charging will start after all batteries are fully charged. 6. Ventilation fan will be on during charging. However, at temperature below 10oC, the fan will not operate until temperature goes above 10oC. 7. The red LED indicator(s) will flash and the charger will stop charging if alkaline, rechargeable alkaline, carbon zinc, lithium or bad battery is mistakenly placed. 8. For best result, use GP PowerBank U-Smart at room temperature with good ventilation. 9. Once charging is complete, unplug the charger from the power source and remove the batteries.
For best performance and safety, charge only GP NiMH batteries with GP PowerBank U-Smart. Attention: 1. For first new use batteries, 2 to 3 times of charging and discharging are required to optimize the batteries performance. If batteries are stored for more than one week, always recharge them before use. 2. It is normal that the batteries will become hot during charging and quickly cool down to room temperature once fully charged. 3. Charging time may vary based on battery capacity. 4. Remove batteries from the electrical device if the device is not going to be used for a long time. 5. Battery storage temperature: -20 ~35oC Charger operation temperature: 5 ~ 45oC Caution: 1. Charge Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries only. 2. Do not charge other types of batteries such as alkaline, rechargeable alkaline, carbon zinc, lithium or any other kind of batteries not specified as they may leak or burst, causing personal injury and damage. 3. Do not drop any metals and tiny stuffs into the fan. 4. Never use an extension cord or any attachment not recommended by GP, otherwise this may result in a risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury. 5. Unplug the charger from the outlet before attempting cleaning or when not in use. 6. Do not short circuit batteries 7. Do not wet, incinerate or disassemble the charger and batteries. 8. Indoor use only. Do not expose the charger to rain, snow or extreme conditions.
