I just recently purchased the Jabra BT530 Bluetooth Wireless Headsets (Set of 2 in Bulk Packaging) for me and my wife. Finally, I can hear my callers!

Will not buy another Jabra product if their is no support. Works well, could be a little bit louder Lost the earhook, which comes off very easily. For some one that is a first time use of BT headsets, I was a bit anxious about making the right choice, the Jabra BT8040 has alleviated the anxiety.

BEFORE OPERATING THIS HEADSET FOR THE FIRST TIME The device must be charged for approx. 4 hours, uninterrupted, until the indicator light goes out. See "Charging the BLUETREK MINI" in the instructions. Pair the headset with a mobile phone. See "Pairing the BLUETREK MINI" in these instructions. INTRODUCTION The BLUETREK MINI headset is a wireless headset for mobile phones with Bluetooth technology. The BLUETREK MINI is a Bluetooth enabled headset that fulls the conditions as required by Bluetooth 1.2 protocol. Two proles are supported: Headset prole and devices equipped with the "Hands-free" prole. The BLUETREK MINI headset has 2 buttons: "TALK" button (main button) "VOL+/- " button charging socket

Charging the BLUETREK MINI Connect the charger to the headset and the device. When charging, the indicator light ashes red. As soon as the charging process is over, the indicator light goes out. Each subsequent charging cycle lasts approx. 3 hours. When you hear a low-pitched beep in your headset and the indicator light ashes red, the headset must be recharged. Important: When the headset is fully charged, the red indicator light does not illuminate when the device is connected to the charger. (To check whether the headset is fully charged, press the TALK button for approx. 2 seconds. When you release the button, the red indicator light illuminates for approx. 3 seconds.) The headset cannot be used while it is charging. To maintain the battery capacity for as long as possible, we recommend fully charging the headset only when the battery is low. This way, the battery can be maintained for approx. 500 charging cycles. If the battery has been dead for a long period of time, the battery may be fully discharged. In this case, charge the battery for 3 hours or more until the battery is fully charged. When charging the battery after a long storage period, it can take several minutes for the indicator light to illuminate red. Do not charge the headset for longer than 10 hours. Use of a different charger voids the warranty. To do so is expressly prohibited and extremely dangerous. 13

Pairing the BLUETREK MINI Before using the BLUETREK MINI for the rst time, you must pair the headset with your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. "Pairing" means setting up a wireless connection between two Bluetooth-enabled devices so that these devices can communicate with one another.
Preparing to pair the devices: 1. Place the BLUETREK MINI and the mobile phone at a distance of 30 cm (1 ft) from one another. 2. Switch on the mobile phone and select Bluetooth discover mode (see the instructions for your Bluetooth mobile phone).
3. With the BLUETREK MINI switched off, press and hold the TALK button for about 7 seconds until the indicator light ashes blue and red alternately. A tone is heard over the speaker.
104802man_de_en_fr_es_nl.indd 14
4. When the mobile phone detects the headset, a BLUETREK MINI message appears on the phone's display. Follow the steps in the instructions of your mobile phone to accept the pairing. The PIN code (or passkey) for the BLUETREK MINI is 0000. After entering the PIN, press "Yes" or "OK".
5. For most phones, you then have to select the "Connect" function. Once the connection has been established, the indicator light illuminates blue and begins to ash slowly. If discover mode is not activated within 5 minutes, the headset switches off automatically. The headset must be switched back on and the pairing must be reinitiated.

The USB transfers signal and power over a four-wire cable. The signaling occurs over two wires on each point-to-point segment. There are three data rates: The USB high-speed signaling bit rate is 480 Mb/s. The USB full-speed signaling bit rate is 12 Mb/s. A limited capability low-speed signaling mode is also defined at 1.5 Mb/s. USB 2.0 host controllers and hubs provide capabilities so that full-speed and low-speed data can be transmitted at high-speed between the host controller and the hub, but transmitted between the hub and the device at full-speed or low-speed. This capability minimizes the impact that full-speed and low-speed devices have upon the bandwidth available for high-speed devices. The low-speed mode is defined to support a limited number of low-bandwidth devices, such as mice, because more general use would degrade bus utilization.

A logical or physical entity that performs a function. The actual entity described depends on the context of the reference. At the lowest level, device may refer to a single hardware component, as in a memory device. At a higher level, it may refer to a collection of hardware components that perform a particular function, such as a USB interface device. At an even higher level, device may refer to the function performed by an entity attached to the USB; for example, a data/FAX modem device. Devices may be physical, electrical, addressable, and logical.

When used as a non-specific reference, a USB device is either a hub or a function. When referring to hardware, an I/O pad that drives an external Driver load. When referring to software, a program responsible for interfacing to a hardware device, that is, a device driver. Point of access to or from a system or circuit. Keyed Connector Protocol
USB uses a keyed connector protocol. The physical difference in the Series A and B connectors insures proper end user connectivity. The A connector is the principle means of connecting USB devices directly to a host or to the downstream port of a hub. All USB devices must have the standard Series A connector specified in this chapter. The B connector allows device vendors to provide a standard detachable cable. This facilitates end user cable replacement. TYPE MALE FEMALE
