This colourful mat featuring jungle animals invites children to play one of five games. The mat gives children verbal clues and the children respond by jumping on the correct spot on the mat. Young players enjoy the animal sounds and love jumping on the mat to get a response. Although the instructions suggest that players can use their hands to press on the mat, children find that they need to jump or stomp on the exact spot in order to get a response. Younger players may have difficulty keeping up with the instructions in some of the more advanced levels. NOTE: Mat has three level volume control. Requires 4AA batteries.

Arts & Crafts

ART BOX 3 - 6 yrs HAPPY HANDS M1993 Fantastic arts and crafts in a box! There is a non-spill paint pot, poster paint, water colours, brushes, sponges, crayons, a paint palette and paper for pictures. The box also contains a plastic tool, six moulds for making dough creations and two pots of dough. In addition, there is coloured sand and three boards with sticky areas for sand art. Children especially enjoy playing with the sand art. There are ample supplies for sharing with friends, and the contents are easily stored in the convenient carrying case. A great set to have on hand for a rainy day. NOTE: Although all supplies are included, sponge art requires a larger container for dipping the sponges into the paint. This book comes with a cape, masks, wristbands, emblems, an id card and stickers - everything needed to become a superhero. It provides the basics on being a superhero, including tips on how to pick your super name and what superheroes should do. Although most children enjoy being superheroes for a while, the set is best suited to real hero fans with active imaginations. NOTE: Care needs to be taken with the wristbands and masks to prevent ripping. A top-notch idea for markers. These chubby markers come in five vibrant colours and have a flip top mechanism. Children slide the top off the marker and slide it down to the bottom during use. Once their creation is complete, they simply slide the cap back onto the marker tip. No more lost caps because they are always attached to the marker. Great for little hands and easy to clean. This no-mess craft is a hit. Using the easy to hold paintbrushes to colour on the included magic paper, children create wonderful art without any mess. Younger children paint on preprinted sets of barnyard and wild animal scenes while older ones use blank pages to produce their own masterpieces. Each set (sold separately) has either 24 printed or 32 blank painting pages along with four paint brushes. A great craft with no clean-up required.

The set includes a console with arrow keys, installation software and three characters (Dragon Tale, Elmo and a Fisher Price Puppy). Software installation is easy and the included console connects to the PC via a USB (1.1) cable. Once the console is connected, children place one of the characters into the console and they are taken directly to a child friendly website related to that character. When the program is started, the only way to exit and return the computer to regular use is to type in the password. Parents can also set limits on time and printer use. Children are delighted to play on-line without parental supervision; parents enjoy peace of mind knowing that their children will not surf into something inappropriate. NOTE: Children need to be able to use a mouse. Features requiring an external program, such as real player, will not work since the software blocks all external programs. She's so realistic that when children feed her, she needs to be changed. Children put water in the cup and place the sippy cup straw in the doll's mouth. When gentle pressure is applied to her tummy, she will sip away at her drink. When she's finished drinking, children simply press on her tummy again to make her wet the diaper. Children happily spend quiet, quality time with this adorable baby doll. This set includes a Dora doll with a shell base, comb and fish barrette. When children put Dora into the shell base and press the button to make her turn, her dress changes into a mermaid tail. Children can also press on Doras necklace to hear her sing and talk. Children are quite enthralled with the doll and her songs and stories; however, it requires a lot of force to place Dora into the base and adult help is needed. Children enjoy the imaginative aspects of this set but they have difficulty lining up the dolls and the elephant so that the dolls can be picked-up and land successfully on the elephants back. This enchanting princess is almost ready for the ball, with a beautiful gown, a magical wand and a necklace gem. Children are thrilled when they touch the top of the magical wand to her necklace gem - a tune plays and the gem flashes while her skirt rotates to display the three different colour panels on her skirt. Children are quite pleased with the pleasant tunes and lovely dress on this doll; however, long-term play value is slightly limited because the dolls clothes and shoes cannot be removed. NOTE: Requires 2 AAA batteries. The girls are swinging! This colourful two-seater swing for Groovy Girl dolls stands and swings freely. Although it does require a little adjustment to get the balance right, once the dolls are safely belted in with the included seat belts, they can happily swing the day away.
