Players bring decks to the event that they have built using cards from their own collections. Each player brings a deck containing at least 40 cards. Additionally, no more than 3 copies of the same card are allowed in a deck. Players must each bring a Light Side and Dark Side deck to the tournament. Each deck must have a minimum of 60 cards. STANDARD. Players must bring 60-card official MLB Showdown strategy decks containing only cards from the current and past year, and field teams of 20 players at under 5,000 points each. EXTENDED. Players must bring 60-card official MLB Showdown strategy decks, and field teams of 20 players at under 5,000 points each. Each player must bring a deck containing at least 40 cards.

Constructed

Players receive a quantity of sealed booster packs (or packs and decks) from the tournament organizer. They then build their decks and play using only the cards they received for the tournament.
