when motion is detected. Recording rates and image quality (high, medium, and standard settings) are selectable per camera. Wavelet video compression makes it possible to archive compact files with high image resolution. Cameras may be set to record individually in timelapse mode, event mode or both modes. Recording time can be optimized by assigning highdensity recording rates to higher priority cameras and
reduced recording rates to lower priority cameras. A secret watermark ensures the integrity of each recording. Live and recorded images can be viewed simultaneously on the same monitor while recording continues, capturing up to 30 pictures per second (across all cameras).Units connected via Ethernet can support up to ten simultaneous users while allowing one user to play back video without affecting programming.

Network connected units can automatically send an email to two users based upon a change in status of alarm, video loss, record status or archiving. Units connected via a network can also be remotely upgraded with any user intervention at the unit location. Authorized users can select and post images to the network; store, print, and e-mail images; and store video clips.

The following items are used for basic setup and operation. Items not shown here are for advanced functionsrefer to the User Manual for information on these items. StoreSafe CAUTION: PowerYou must use a stable power source that falls within the rated voltage of the 12 VDC power supply. If your power source might experience surges or dips, use an uninterruptable power supply (UPS). CAUTION: Installation AreaYour StoreSafe needs space around it for ventilation. Make sure the fans and vents on the sides of the unit are not obstructed. Install your StoreSafe in a place where the temperature is always between 0 and 40 C (32 and 104 F) and has normal humidity (between 10% and 80%). Dont install the StoreSafe on top of a hot piece of equipment, and always leave space between rack-mounted equipment. Dont install the StoreSafe near a water source or anywhere that it will be exposed to moisture. CAUTION: Stacking EquipmentYou can place other equipment on top of the StoreSafe, but only if it weighs less than 35 lb (16 kg). Coaxial cable CD-R Surveillance camera

Camera inputs

Start by connecting your StoreSafe to the monitor and camera(s). TIP: ConnectionDepending on the model, you can connect as many as 4, 10, or 16 cameras to your StoreSafe. Follow the same instructions for each additional camera.
1 Connect the coaxial video cable to the video output on the camera.
2 Connect the coaxial camera cable to the top Camera 1 input on the StoreSafe.
TIP: ConnectionYou can connect to either of the camera inputs for each camera. The second input can be used to send the camera signal to other devices, if necessary. TIP: ConnectionTo connect additional components such as keypads or network connections, see the User Manual.
3 Connect the coaxial monitor cable to the monitor A output on the StoreSafe.
4 Connect the coaxial monitor cable to the video input on the monitor.
To power up your system, you need one electrical outlet for the StoreSafe, one for the monitor, and one for each connected camera. Power up your system in the following order: 1 Plug the monitor and camera power cords into the outlets. 2 Plug the single-prong end of the StoreSafe power cord into the power connection on the back of the StoreSafe. TIP: Powering UpWhen you plug the StoreSafe power supply into an outlet, the StoreSafe automatically detects all connected cameras. The StoreSafe shows which version of software is installed, then shows a display of live views from each connected camera and automatically begins recording.

3 Plug the other end of the StoreSafe power cord into the outlet on the StoreSafe power supply.
4 Plug the StoreSafe power supply cord into the outlet.
CAUTION: Powering UpFor European electrical systems, use the 220 V power cord included with your StoreSafe. Make sure other components, such as cameras and monitors, have the proper electrical plugs as well.
