5.1 Speaker set

Buying speakers is the start of a long-term relationship. Of all components of the home theatre setup, speakers are kept the longest.
enerally you hear a soft whimper from potential speaker buyers as soon as they are told how much they're going to have to invest to get decent sound. But when it comes to Heco Victa, such complaints are unfounded. FIRST IMPRESSION At the outset, mention should be made of the Victas' solid construction with accessible connecting terminals and high-quality finish of the cabinet work. Heco provides different supports for the floor speakers, depending upon whether they are to be placed on a carpet or bare floor. AUDITION Clear transparent sound without undertones is the strength of the Victa speakers. Fine acoustical details are present as well as presence clearly all-round speakers needed for the home theatre. The Victa 300 2-way bookshelf speaker, which due to its somewhat simpler construction functions nicely as a surround-sound speaker and seamlessly supplements the Victa 300 floor speaker, accurately rendering moving sounds in the film. The 700 speakers function well down to the bass range both as front speakers in surround sound setups as well

as primary stereo speakers for music enjoyment. The mid-range to bass is reproduced by three individual speakers, supported by a tweeter. The centre Victa 100 provides clear, crisp dialog. Its configuration is best suited to listening at eye-level. If it must be located higher or lower, then a wedge must be placed underneath to correct the angle of sound dispersal. The Sub 25A subwoofer goes easy on the neighbours, using a front-firing layout with rear-facing double bass reflex ports. The speaker has a continuous phase and volume regulator, high-power and line-in signal input. Unlike many other subwoofers on the market, it doesn't require an acoustical engineer to integrate this team player in the speaker setup. It provides oomph only when it should, while supporting the satellite speakers. IN A NUTSHELL 1,2000 Euros for speakers of this quality is saying something. There aren't many manufacturers offering a comparable set of 5.1 speakers for a relatively tight budget. If you spread the cost over the usual product life of about 15 years, a few Euros per month don't amount to much, but the acoustical benefit is great go for it!
