The new Screw Anchor range of fixings provide the construction professional with a single fixing Anchor for the majority of fixing needs. The fixings are suitable for carpenters, plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, door and window installers, fire, security and telecommunications installers, shop fitters, fencing contractors, ceiling contractors, exhibition contractors, carpet fitters, maintenance heating and ventilating engineers, cladding contractors, kitchen fitters and public utility contractors, so almost to everybody.
Self tapping multi - substrate anchor. Thread designed to provide positive anchorage into the substrate. Thread provides safe anchorage over full embedment of anchor. Threaded anchorage is not subject to expansion pressure and maintains its fix without pre-load. "No expansion" gives close to edge fixing ability.
Single thread designed to give maximum grip with minimum insertion torque.
Balancing thread, designed to ensure correct alignment of anchor with drilled hole. One piece fixing for ease of installation and reduced cost. Uses standard drill sizes. Threading system allows for total removal of anchor from substrate.

SCREW ANCHOR Installation:
To achieve maximum loads the installation process needs to be carried out as follows:

Usage:

The Screw Anchor fixing system is based on an established principle within the fixing and fastening industry. Using threads in metal is standard practice for fastening within the engineering industry, as is using wood-screws to cut their thread into wood within the construction materials including concrete, stone, brick and block. This self-tapping action enables a positive and safe anchorage to be achieved, with the substrate become the nut to the Screw Anchor. Thereby, a tried and tested method of fixing for materials and wood is applied to a wader selection of construction materials.
1. Drill hole in the substrate, using drill of correct diameter, ensuring the hole is deep enough to accommodate dust caused by threading action. Drill hole perpendicular to substrate and ensure bits is not excessively worn.
2. Remove any loose dust from the hole.
The Screw Anchor offers the engineer a stressfree fixing that can be installed nearer to edges and closer together and a varying embedment depths. The Screw Anchor performs well in variety of solid and hollow substrates, is simple to install and is totally removable. An extremely versatile anchor, the Screw Anchor is ideal for general purpose and temporary applications, offers good load carrying capacity for more arduous applications, is very cost-effective and has the benefits of being a stress-free anchor.
3. Screw in the Screw Anchor with a socket wrench. Apply a slight downward pressure to start the self-tapping action.
4. Tighten the Screw Anchor until the fixture is in place. If resistance is experienced whilst tightening, unscrew one turn and retighten, ensuring not to overtighten with excessive torque.
Uses standard size hammer or percussion drill bits Safe anchorage achieved without the need of high tightening torque Can be removed and re-fixed into same hole, providing thread correctly aligned No expansion forces means closed to edge fixing and reduced centre spacing
5. For optimum performance, a torque wrench should be utilized. Do not exceed tightening torque shown in the setting detail chart.

SCREW ANCHOR USAGE AND APPLICATIONS Screw Anchor fixing instructions:
1. Drill hole in the substrate, using drill of correct diameter. (Always ensure hole's depth allows for required anchor embedment + allowance to accommodate dust caused by threading action.) 2. Remove all loose dust from hole. 3. Screw anchor into hole using full hexagon socket spanner, ensuring not to apply excessive torque.

Applications:

- external metal work to brick or concrete - seating - fencing, ballastrading - form work supports - security applications - signs, antennas
This new concept in fixing technology requires adherence to the following points, to obtain maximum benefit from the fixing system: Use hammer drills for concrete and percussion / impact drills for brick. Always ensure drill bit is not worn or undersize.
- temporary fixing - racking - conveyors - securing machinery
Drill holes perpendicular to substrate. By cutting a thread a fix is guaranteed without applying a retaining force. No high tightening force are required to create a fix, consult sizes chart for maximum recommended tightening torques. Note: In virtually every situation where a conventional anchor is currently used, the Screw Anchor provides a high speed, low in place cost alternative.
- stell work and fabrications - hand rails - ladder restrints - crash barriers in car parks - staircases - scaffolding ties

Guide for choosing cartridges
Yellow Red Used for fastening "soft" wood material against steel or sitecast concrete. The standard strength. Can be used for all types of fastening and in particular for powder actuated tools which have a pressure chamber setting (SF-45, Hilti DX 450 ja DX A40/41). Used when the material is thick and/or hard. Test with weaker strength to start with and then decide on the correct strength.

DESCRIPTION APPLICATIONS

Electrical Fixtures HVAC Fixture Plumbing Fixtures Bathroom Accessories Kitchen Accessories Shelving & Support Picture Frames Curtain Rods Bulletin Boards Telecommunication Equipment The Multifix Screw is the industry's first all steel one-piece screw anchor, which features high-profile threads for easy fastening into plasterboard and other masonry base materials. its deep cutting, corkscrew-like threads provide for smooth entry and a powerful hold, and when removed the Multifix Screw leaves a much smaller hole than toggles or other systems. For fastening into plasterboard or wood, no pre-drill is required, the anchor in inserted through the fixture and screwed in with an ordinary Phillips screwdriver. Fastening into concrete, hollow or grout filled block, brick and plaster requires a predrilling hole. The Multifix Screw is ideal for light to medium duty anchoring.

FEATURES / BENEFITS

Installs in plasterboard, plywood, concrete, hollow or grout filled block, brick and plaster. No second step, installs directly through fixture into plasterboard. Provides smooth entry, clean cutting and a powerful hold Thread design prevents spinning and stripping. Heat treated point penetrates metal and wood studs. Installs quickly and easily with a Phillips screwdriver. Can be easily backed-out. No need for shield
