DIGITAL SIGNAGE SERVICES, LLC INSTALLS HITACHI CP-X1250 PROJECTORS FOR ADVERTISING KIOSKS IN MACYS DADELAND MALL -- Six kiosks display original content on translucent screens for dual-sided display. -BRISBANE, CALIFORNIA, www.hitachi.us, July 13, 2006 Demonstrating the versatility and usability of the Hitachi CP-X1250 Series LCD projectors, the newly renovated Macys in Miamis Dadeland Mall has recently installed six ceiling-mounted CP-X1250 projectors for use with its display kiosks in the main aisle of the store. Installed by Digital Signage Services, LLC of Key Biscayne, FL, the projectors are used to display original content on translucent acrylic screens for double-sided presentations. We chose the Hitachi CP-X1250 projector because it was the best option for its price/performance ratio as well as the customer service offered by Hitachi America with its TGIH program, said Jose Diaz, director of Digital Signage Services, LLC.

Located in the main aisle of Macys, the kiosks are used to display advertising content for the numerous brands of products available at the store. The presentations are created originally by Macys Florida in partnership with Digital Signage Services creative team and processed into seamless vignettes synchronized to audio. The idea is to display content that will immediately grab the customers eye, in a way that is aesthetically pleasing to everyone in the store, Diaz said. The CP-X1250 projectors are able to display bright, sharp images and were extremely easy to install. With exceptionally high brightness and a wide range of lens options for flexibility with any environment, the CP-X1250 series delivers 4,500 ANSI lumens and an 800:1 contrast ratio. It displays images via a 1.5x zoom lens that can enable projection on screens up to 100 inches and are outfitted with a bayonet lens that can support up to four optional lenses for specific application needs based on the size and environment of a room. Additionally, the CP-X1250 can be remotely controlled and maintained through a LAN network connection, providing the ability to network, control and maintain the projector remotely. IRVING BIBLE CHURCH CREATES IMMERSIVE WORSHIP EXPERIENCE WITH HITACHI PROJECTORS -- The Church utilizes Hitachi projection technology to create a cost-effective, dynamic video solution. -SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA, www.hitachi.us, September 28, 2007 Demonstrating the unmatched performance and versatility of Hitachi America projectors, the Irving Bible Church recently installed Hitachi CP-X1250 projectors to create a unique and immersive worship experience. Located near Dallas, TX, the Irving Bible Church has a congregation of more than 4,000 members. The Irving Bible Church has distinguished itself through its creative worship services that feature dynamic video display. Hitachi projectors display motion graphics and static images onto a brick wall behind the altar, as well as onto the sanctuarys side walls. The projectors throw straight onto the walls, floor to ceiling, side wall to side wall. The result is an atmosphere that closely resembles an ancient cathedral with larger-than-life paintings and stained glass. We developed a system that creates an abstract look and texture on the existing wall of the worship space, while also allowing for thematic, more traditional images, said Camron Ware, lighting and projection designer at Irving Bible Church. The brick wall is a novel surface for projection, and while the wall has a texture to it already, the image still remains clear.

Projects like this typically involve elaborate lighting systems, but Mr. Ware found an equally suitable (and more cost-effective) solution. As with any church, we always need to take our budget into account when making purchasing decisions, Mr. Ware said. We wanted the effect of moving lights with simple textured gobos and breakups, but the Hitachi projectors are a much more cost-effective, and more flexible, way to get that effect. We literally did it all for $10,000, for projectors and cabling. We did the install ourselves. A Hitachi CP-X1250 projector displays graphics on the center brick wall of the Church, flanked by a CP-X605 projector on each side that also displays imagery onto the wall. All three units use their standard lenses. Another two CP-X1250 projectors are used to display static images, such as lyrics, still photos and sermon text, on the main screens. A CP-X1200 projector is used as a confidence monitor in the back of balcony. The motion content on all three Hitachi projectors is controlled by Easy Worship software, while Sunday Plus software handles the static images. All projector units and accessories were purchased through Shepherd Multimedia in Grapevine, TX. Shepherd was a great help in picking the right units for the job. It is always a pleasure to work with them, Mr. Ware said. We use the whole architecture of the building as a projector surface, Mr. Ware added. It makes you feel like youre immersed in the worship, rather than just being a spectator. Think of it as a post-modern cathedral using imagery instead of paintings and stained glass that surround and engage you.
