| I bought this filter for my 18-200mm lens. Use of a neutral lens is an ideal way to protect your investment. The Nikon NC filter is just what the name implies, a Neutral Color filter that serves several purposes, most popularly as a permanent lens protector. | |

about this guide
This HP Digital Copier Printer 410 Printing Guide contains the information you need to connect your new HP Digital Copier Printer to a computer rather than using the unit as a stand-alone copier. This connected option allows you to use your unit as a copier/printer with a wide range of settings and print functions. Before you use this guide, be sure to thoroughly read and understand the HP Digital Copier Printer 410 Reference Guide, which contains information that you need to know about your copier/printer before installing the software.
10 Click Do not share this printer, and then click Next. 11 Click Yes if you want to print a test page, and then click Next. 12 Click Finish. Wait while Windows copies additional files. This may take a few minutes. Caution! The installation is not complete until the Add Printer Wizard closes. This may take several minutes. During this time, the computer may not appear to be working. However, the installation will fail if you try to use the copier/printer or turn it off before the installation is complete.
uninstall and reinstall software
Caution! This is the only way to completely remove the HP Digital Copier Printer software from your computer. Using any other method may fail. The following steps uninstall then reinstall the HP Digital Copier Printer software on your computer: 1 Disconnect the USB cable from your HP Digital Copier Printer. Caution! You must complete this step first. If you do not disconnect the copier/printer from your computer, the software will not uninstall completely. You will need to follow this procedure again after disconnecting the printer. Close all virus protection programs and other software running on your computer. Insert the CD that came with your copier/printer into your computers CD-ROM drive. Note: If you have misplaced the CD that came with your copier/printer, you can download the software from the Internet at: http://www.hp.com/support 6 From the Windows Start menu, select Run, and then click Browse. Navigate to your CD-ROM drive, then locate and double-click the file labeled uninstall_dc410.bat. When the uninstall feature finishes, restart your computer. Tip: This step takes several minutes to complete, even though your system may look like it is idle and the cursor is ready. The uninstall process occurs in the background after restart. Do not interrupt the process or reconnect the HP Digital Copier Printer for a minimum of five minutes. 7 After a minimum of five minutes, reconnect your HP Digital Copier Printer to your computer with the USB cable. The New Hardware Wizard appears. Carefully tear off the perforated edge strips from both sides of the paper stack, if any, and unfold and refold the paper to make sure the pages do not stick together. Put the paper in the paper tray so the unattached edge is at the top of the stack. Insert the first edge into the paper tray until it stops, as shown in the illustration above.
set the paper type and size
If you want to use a different type of paper, such as photo paper or transparency film, simply load that paper in the main tray. The HP Digital Copier Printers automatic media sensor automatically selects the paper type and size for your print job; however, you can also choose your own paper-type and paper-size settings to ensure the best print quality. For information on changing your print settings manually, see select paper type on page 16 or select paper size on page 19.
use printing features
The printing features described in this chapter are available only if you connect your HP Digital Copier Printer to your computer and install the software provided. The software allows you to easily manage all of your print settings. Note: You cannot control the HP Digital Copier Printers copy functions with this software. If you want to use the copy functions you must use the front-panel, as described in the HP Digital Copier Printer 410 Reference Guide. increase print speed or quality
Using your HP device, you can customize the speed and quality of the print process with the following options: Best: Best mode produces the highest print quality for all media and eliminates the banding effect that sometimes occurs in solid areas. However, the Best setting prints more slowly than Normal mode for most documents. Normal: Letter-quality printing. Normal mode delivers high-quality output and is the recommended setting for speed and quality. Normal is the default print-quality setting for most paper types. Everyday: Everyday mode balances speed and quality for everyday printing. FastDraft: Draft-quality printing. FastDraft mode prints faster than the Normal setting and produces lighter output. Using FastDraft reduces the frequency of replacing your print cartridges because it uses less ink.

Based on standard ITU-T test image #1 at standard resolution. More complicated pages or higher resolution will take longer and use more memory. HP recommends that the number of printed pages per month be within the stated range for optimum device performance, based on factors including supplies replacement intervals and device life over an extended warranty period. Duty cycle is defined as the maximum number of pages per month of imaged output. This value provides a comparison of product robustness in relation to other HP LaserJet or HP Color LaserJet devices, and enables appropriate deployment of printers and MFPs to satisfy the demands of connected individuals or groups.
