On February 17, the above listed RTM platforms (not including Armadas) and the following platforms will be shipping with Windows 2000 (40-bit encryption) in the following languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Japanese.

In March/April, the new PC products being announced will feature a dual NT4.0/Windows 2000 Professional preinstall capability. In March through June, additional models of the Armada E, M and V series notebooks will offer Windows 2000 Professional preinstalled. In April through 3Q2000, new Windows 2000 Professional offerings will be added to the Compaq product line, as more languages become available. Language rollout will occur for models that live past 90 days of Compaq RTM.
