Purpose: The document is intended for use by end-of-life recyclers or treatment facilities. It provides the basic instructions for the disassembly of HP products to remove components and materials requiring selective treatment. 1.0 Items Requiring Selective Treatment 1.1 Items listed below are classified as requiring selective treatment. 1.2 Enter the quantity of items contained within the product which require selective treatment in the right column, as applicable. Product Disassembly Process 3.1 List the basic steps that should typically be followed to remove components and materials requiring selective treatment: 1 Stand: remove I/O cover, unlock cover hooks, remove cover, loosen 4 plate screws, remove stand Cabinet: remove 2 screw covers on lower back panel, remove screws, unlock hooks, remove back cover Chassis: remove side bezel, loosen 2 screws on I/O cover, loosen 4 hex screws for shield cover, loosen 3 screws fastened to shielding cover, remove shielding cover, loosen wires fastened on power PCA, loosen 6 screws attaching PCA to frame, remove PCA, loosen 4 screws for speakers, loosen wires on control pca, remove power PCA, loosen 6 screws attaching front bezel and panel, loosen 4 screws for main frame to panel, remove main frame Remove large capacitor from PCA Remove mercury bulbs from panel assembly for selective treatment
