Full description
The HP LaserJet 5MP series printers are designed for individuals and small workgroups. They meet high-quality printing standards with true 600 x 600-dpi resolution, 120 levels of gray, and a variety of type fonts. Two trays allow printing sizes from postcard to legal without changing trays. An IrDA-compliant infrared port comes standard, allowing wireless printing from the latest IrDA-compliant portable systems. Two parallel ports and one LocalTalk port (with auto switching between all ports) provide easy sharing and expanded use. Standard SIMM memory slots allow for memory expandability, optional printer language, or custom SIMM solutions. These printers use HP's Enhanced PCL 5 (Printer Command Language Level 5), a printer language that is standard for desktop laser printing in PC operating environments such as Microsoft Windows and DOS. The HP LaserJet 5MP printer also includes the Adobe PostScript Level 2 printer language, used with the Apple Macintosh and for desktop laser printing in environments such as Windows.
