Fast and powerful scanning
Increase productivity with automatic scanning. Rather than loading each page by hand, the automatic document (ADF) feeder allows you to load up to 50 pages at once. Both sides of the page are scanned simultaneously with one-pass two-sided scanning, delivering a speed of 50 images per minute (ipm) for two-sided documents (singlesided documents process at 25 pages per minute [ppm]). Save time with customized scan profiles. Settings for recurring scan jobspaper size, file destination, and morecan be saved as scan profiles and employed again later at the touch of a button. HP Smart Document Scan Software supports up to 30 scan profiles and comes with preset profiles to get started. The scanner has a pull-out reference chart to list profiles and their corresponding numbers. Scan a variety of paper sizes, weights and types. The scanner handles everything from 2 by 3.5 inch cards such as plastic or laminated IDs, insurance and business cardsto documents up to legal size (8.5 by 14 inches). Adjust the paper tray to fit specific page widths to easily scan odd-size documents, such as checks. Flexibly convert and deliver. HP Smart Document Scan Software provides everything needed to scan, correct errors, convert, and deliver electronic files. Convert your hardcopies into a variety of popular file formats: including Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word and Excel, Corel WordPerfect, TIFF, and JPEG. Electronic files can be easily edited, e-mailed, delivered to local or network folders and organized. A preview window lets you rearrange, delete or add scanned pages. Customized document management
HP Smart Document Scan Software is a fast, ISISbased document scanning application that helps you easily scan and manage your document jobs. Set up custom profiles, including settings for file format, document size, resolution, and destination, and assign them profile numbers to distinguish various workflows. Other customizations available include auto crop, auto page straighten, auto orientation, resize page and deletion of blank pages. During the scanning process, pages can be reordered, rotated, deleted and inserted using the preview window. The barcode detector or a blank page can separate jobs for batch scanning. Custom profiles can include specific file typessuch as PDF, searchable PDF, TIFF, JPEG, or other formats in addition to customizable file destinations. Save to a shared drive, an email application, Microsoft Sharepoint Portal server, or to any application that supports command line architecture.

Kofax Virtual ReScan is a patented image enhancement technology that automatically provides the best possible image quality and most efficient scanning operation, regardless of the condition of the original document.
