| Im in love with my Sony Digital Reader! I have a visual impairment and this reader allows me to enlarge the type without distorting the text. I am constantly amazed with my consistant pleasure in using hte ereader. It is a wonderfully Green alternative to paper books. The Vanns experience was similar to any online retailer. They had the PRS-505 cheaper than anywhere else, even eBay. | |

| Thanks to the reviewers below, I saved myself so much money! No need to buy this charger, get the Official PSP charger as it is approx half the price and will work. I use my PSP for charging my E-Reader. | |

| Used to love my PRS-505, but... I have had my PRS-505 for a little over a year, have loved using it - downloads and reading are a snap. before you buy Kindle, Nook, or iPad... I have had the PRS-505 for over a year. Sadly, I dropped it on a tile floor and the display failed. | |

Switch on the device TV, VCR SAT etc by hand direct. Press the device key you want to setup then press the SET- (green) + POWER(red) buttons together until the LED will flash. Aim the remote control to the device you want to control when the device react press the POWER button. Check if all buttons work properly. If not start the procedure again, but before read out the code (see Read out). Button test: This test is made to check if all buttons are working. Press and hold SET button press TV1 and release both. Type in code 999 then the LED goes on now by pressing the buttons the LED will slightly flicker. At the end press the SET for test and to close this mode at the same time. Read out: To read out the 3 digit code press and hold the SET- button then press the button 1 for the first digit release the SET- button. Start again to press the SET- button then press the button 2 to read out the second digit. Start it once more, press the SET- button then press the button 3 to read out the third digit. LED indication: 0 = no light 1 = flashing once 2 = flashing twice And so on Note the code for the next time you to setup the remote control.
How to install the batteries. Open the battery compartment by dismounting the battery lid and insert two batteries type AAA. Dont mix old and new batteries. Close the compartment with battery lid. Press SET- and then the device button for example TV1, the LED will light up constant. Type in the selected code number 713 after the last digit the LED will stop. Check if all buttons work properly. If not choose another code. If there is no other code use the quick search mode. This operation is valid for all device buttons. To stop the setup mode press the device button again or wait for 10 seconds then it will stop automatically. Notice: By pressing buttons without function the LED will not light up. If the direct mode wasnt successful use the quick search mode. Quick search mode: Power on the device by hand. Press the SET button continuously and then the device button you want to set. Release both buttons, the LED is on. Press the SET button again, the LED will flash.
