If the unit supplied has been previously used then please start at Step 1. If the unit is new and supplied in its un-opened original packaging, please start at step 6 If there is confusion or error during this procedure carry out steps 2 to 5 inclusive to restart the receiver and then continue at step 6

6th October 2010 3. Use the Down button to highlight Installation, press OK
4. At the installation screen, use the Down button to highlight the Default Setting option and press OK

6th October 2010 5. Enter the PIN CODE, the default code is 0 0
When the code has been accepted, the satellite receiver will ask to confirm that the default settings are restored. Choose YES and press OK

6th October 2010 6. The satellite receiver will now reboot, during this procedure the screen will go blank for a couple of seconds, and come up at the language page. Press OK for English
NOTE: It has been found that some receivers will show a searching for signal message at this point and will not progress further. If this happens press EXIT, then press MENU, then select Installation, then select Service Searching, then select Antenna Setting. You should now be at Step 8 below and should continue from Step 8 7. At the screen below, press OK

6th October 2010 8. At this screen below, press the Down button
9. Satellite name will then be highlighted. Press the Right button and a drop down menu will appear, press the Down button and highlight EUTELSAT W2, press OK

6th October 2010 10. Press the Down button TWICE to highlight DISEqC Input, and then press the Left button until is displays Disabled. Now Press OK
NOTE: It has been found that some viewers installations have been fitted a DiSCEqC box that allows the viewer to install a SKY dish and a BFBS dish and combine them into one cable. If this is the case, then instead of disabling the DiSEqC Input at this step one needs to set this to A or B or C or D. We have found that the setting is usually B, it depends on how the installer wired the DiSCEqC box If you have such a DISCEqC box fitted, you may find that at Step 17 - and referring to the photograph at Step 17 at the bottom right of the screen it will say BSKYB instead of BFBS. If that happens you will need to return to this step, step 10, and change the DiSEqC Input to A or B or C or D and then continue from here 11. The next screen you will see is below. EUTELSAT W2 is correct so press the Down button

6th October 2010 12. Change the Frequency by typing in 11221, then press the Down button
13. Set the Polarisation to Vertical, then press the Down button

6th October 2010 14. Change the Symbol Rate by typing in 27500, then press the Down button
15. Change the FEC to AUTO, then press OK

6th October 2010 16. The screen below will be displayed as the satellite receiver looks for services
17. When the receiver has found the BFBS services it will show the screen below. Press OK

6th October 2010 18. At this screen, you can check that you have BFBS 1 to BFBS 14 TV channels and 12 Radio channels. Note: the number of BFBS channels will vary from time to time
19. Press OK, and the screen below will display momentarily

Your HUMAX Satellite Receiver is now reprogrammed for BFBS reception on Eutelsat W2A
