High-definition television is a revolutionary technology in the television industry that produces pictures far sharper and clearer than any other form of home entertainment. HD enhances the television experience by giving viewers a cinema-like experience with Digital Dolby sound and crystal clear widescreen monitors. HD televisions are available in four different display technologies - Projection, Directview Cathode Ray Tube (CRT), Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and Plasma. A HDTV broadcast contains about six times as much picture information as a conventional analogue TV broadcast. The difference between SD (Standard Definition) and HD in video and sound quality is remarkable. ACTIVATING PENTHOUSE HD SMARTCARD
QUICK INSTALLATION GUIDE After purchasing the Smart Card, the buyer has to follow these steps in order to activate and enjoy the Penthouse HD channels. 1. First make sure your digital set-top box is switched off. 3. Make a note of the cards serial (S/N) and ID numbers before inserting it into the Conditional Access Module (CAM). 6. Register your smart-card at www.penthousehdtv.com to activate.
2. Remove the viewing card from its packaging, taking care not to bend it or touch the gold chip. Remember never submerge your viewing card in liquid or use cleaning fluids on it.
4. Insert the viewing card using the arrow as a guide with the gold chip facing up.
5. Place the CAM with the smart-card into the Common Interface (CI) slot in your digital set-top box (please refer to your manufacturers instruction manual to understand how it is inserted). DO NOT force the CAM into the CI. The card will only go in one way, usually in the direction of the arrow marked on the card. 7. Using your manufacturers guide, please re-scan for channels.
