Its very durable construction is resistant to shock and vibration. The IC-F15/F34 series will easily exceed your expectations.
TOUGH AND RELIABLE CONSTRUCTION These radios are built around an aluminum die-cast chassis and covered with a tough polycarbonate casing. They are built to last. Its dual slide rail securely locks the battery to the radio. The belt clip is clamped between the radio and the battery, making it nearly impossible to knock loose. SIMPLE OPERATION Having only a few buttons and distinctive volume and channel knobs, the IC-F15/F34 series does not require special training to use. Positive button action for sure operation even when wearing gloves, allows you to get down to the business of communicating without fuss.

IDAS is Icoms digital land mobile radio system using the NXDN common air interface. It has useful calling features including selective calling, status message, radio stun/kill/revive and GPS position reporting, etc. The IDAS system is ideal for business and industry users who are thinking to migrate to a digital system and hence to future mandated narrow channel spacing.
Flexible migration path from analog to digital The ICOM Repeater can receive both analog and digital mode signals on a single channel. You can partially introduce IDAS digital radios, while still maintaining the existing analog radios in the system. Spectrum efficiency The IDAS system utilizes 6.25kHz narrow channel spacing. Improved audio quality and coverage Enjoy low noise audio over a greater comparable area to analog FM. The IDAS radio uses the latest evolution in vocoding technology.
IDAS trunking with optional UC-FR5000 The optional UC-FR5000 offers single site digital trunking capability for effective channel management. Its distributed system does not require a dedicated control channel. Up to 30 channels (RF units) per site can be set up. Flexible IP network possibilities Being digital, integration and convergence with IP technology will be possible soon to enhance the basic system. Secure communication When secure communication is required, the IDAS system provides a digital voice scrambler using s 15-key (about 32,000 keys) for encryption as standard.
Flexible for future expansions IDAS is the Icoms digital radio system and has complete system components including handheld, mobile radios and repeaters. The RC-FS10 Remote Communicator package The Remote Communicator creates an IP-connected virtual radio (dispatcher) which may be located anywhere enables single site IDAS trunking as well as limited IP remote control. Up to eight virtual radios can be IPconnected to a repeater. The RC-FS10 consists of the CT-24 USB VOCODER unit, the CT-23 desktop microphone adapter and a virtual radio Windows PC software.
Radio Messaging System Software Suite RMS-Net merges radio and computer technology into a single software solution. RMS-Net software integrates desktop PCs, Icom radios, base-station and talk-through repeaters into a single sophisticated system capable of establishing a versatile local or wide area network. The 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS, DTCS and BIIS signaling capabilities are built-in for group communication or selective calling. Also, the IC-F3062 series can decode ten 2-Tone codes or eight 5-Tone codes on a channel. When a matched tone is received, the following actions are programmable for each code. Wide frequency range and large channel capacity
The IC-F3162 series covers a wide frequency range in one version (VHF 136174 MHz, UHF 400470MHz). The 512 memory channel capacity with 128 zones allows you to divide and store a variety of exible channel groupings. Memory channel selection can be made with a simple rotation of the rotary channel knob. Wide, middle and narrow channel bandwidth (25/20/ 12.5kHz)* is also programmable.

Voting mode scanning
The Voting mode scanning detects the Smeter level of repeater stations and automatically selects the strongest station, useful for roaming between 2 or more repeater sites. Once you program the voting mode to a memory zone, you can easily start voting mode operation by changing the zone setting.

Full dot-matrix LCD

Using a large full dot-matrix LCD (mm), the IC-F3162 series shows upper and lower case characters clearly. The display setting is selectable from 1 line, 12 characters or 2 lines 24 characters via programming. The bottom row shows assigned functions to the [P0] to [P3] buttons.

IDAS system digital mode ready
The IDAS (Icom Digital Advanced System) is Icoms digital PMR system using the NXDN common air interface. It has useful calling features including selective calling, status message, radio stun/ kill/revive, etc with spectrum efcient 6.25kHz channel spacing.
