All mobile whips feature either rigid 17.7HP stainless steel rods with pl ated brass components and blac k nyl on mouldings or have a flexible constructi on within a blac k nylon tube. When fitted and tuned c orrectl y these antennas will have a typical VSWR of 1.2:1 or less. The mounting s ystems provides a high degree of c ompati bility between whips and bas es, making them suitabl e for all applications whether temporar y or permanent. T he Glass Mount Antenna requires no holes or special tools and can be quickly & easily installed on a windscreen or rear window. T he Antenna couples capacitive through the glass and its high positioning gives it an almost omni-directional radiating pattern, with a high performance similar to a conventionally mounted roof-top antenna T he antenna can be easily removed for the car wash. T o transfer the antenna assembly, both the coupling box and the mounting foot can be removed and the glass cleaned to leave it in its original state.
