Meet the "S" Version!
The IC-M402S is identical to ICOMs award-winning IC-M402, but the IC-M402S does not accept an optional remote control mic the S version is ideal for boaters who dont need a second helm radio station or the expense of the optional mic connection port.
Large display and 2-digit channel
The large, 27mm43mm (1116 in.158 in.) dimension, display is easy to see in direct sunlight. 10-character scrolling channel names and all settings are displayed at the same time. LCD backlighting is adjustable in 4-step and key illumination is available for nighttime operation.
Built-in DSC capability that meets RTCM SC101
The DSC watch function monitors Ch 70, while receiving another channel. The DSC allows you to send a formatted distress message in an emergency. The position request function indicates a callers position when connected to a GPS. Up to 30 DSC IDs are memorized. (GPS is not included.)
Rugged waterproof construction
The IC-M402S installation is not limited to covered areas, so installation where water comes in is not a problem.
