When you think of the size of the cabinet, the impact from this subwoofer is simply stunning. The 500W are delivered by a ground-breaking powerful digital amplifier which feeds a massive high excursion 254mm/10in woofer. Although the satellite speakers are relatively small, they feature a two-way system. The A 340 features a bass-reflex configuration with a 102mm/4in woofer and a 25mm/1in tweeter, while the A 320 carries a 95mm/3in woofer and a 25mm/1in tweeter in a closed cabinet. As standard, both speakers have superior sound quality and high powerhandling. They both reproduce the mid and upper range frequencies with full fidelity and have a very natural sounding vocal quality. Mount the speaker on the wall with the ingenious fittings supplied or on the dedicated table stands: its your choice as both are included with the speakers. Alternatively, you can mount the A 340 on the optional A 340FS floor-stand and the A 320 on the A 320FS floor-stand.

The flagship of the C 80 series is the C 809. And here were not just talking about another high quality speaker from Jamo. This impressive 3-way speaker is the very embodiment of Danish Sound Design superbly resonant cutting edge sound technology enclosed in beautifully designed cabinets of the highest quality and finish. One level down you will find the C 807 an exceptionally melodic speaker. The C 807 is the natural choice of front speaker in any high-end surround system. Since ideally you shouldnt be able to identify where surround speakers are placed in an installation, the C 60 SUR with MPD is the obvious choice as a surround speaker. C 60 SUR comes with wall-brackets. If you like a more discreet surround speaker then consider using the 8.521K4 from our Custom program.

The Jamo C 60 series shares many of the technical characteristics of its big brother, the C 80. You will find state-of-the-art technologies, such as DTT (Decoupled Tweeter Technology), WaveGuide, HCC (Hard Conical Cone), Centre-Plug and solid cast chassis in the Jamo C 60 products. In regards to its design, the C 60 series has been produced with the same slim form and curving lines that have given the series its visual identity and unmistakeable kinship between the smallest and largest members of the Concert family. The JamoLink system is based on highly reliable A-BUS technology, designed to deliver high quality audio and video to multiple locations in your home. After installation, you gain access to all your centrally located audio and video equipment, with sound delivered to in-wall or in-ceiling speakers (or con entional v speakers if preferred), and video delivered to televisions or other display devices. The Contractor series offers a remarkable yet affordable acoustic performance. It is a versatile series that is the right choice for a wide range of installations, from hallways, workshops and retail stores to basements, garages and offices. Simply put: every place where there is a need for good sound.
Contractor series in-ceiling
The in-ceiling line-up consists of two different types of speakers that offer amazing value for money. Youll find the basic 2-way speakers (8.5 CS and 6.5 CS-T) offers a price-to-performance ratio thats second-to-none. The 6.5CS-T is made for 70/100V installations, but can also be used in ordinary installations.
Contractor series in-wall
Similar to the two in-ceiling speakers, the in-wall product (660CS) from the Contractor series features polypropylene woofers and Mylar dome tweeters. The tweeters are moisture resistant, making the Contractor series a good choice for installations in environments such as garages etc. However, for full outdoor use we definitely recommend the Outdoor Series by Jamo.

Over the years there has been a growing interest in moving food preparation, eating and bathing facilities out to the garden. An extension of this trend is the natural desire to also bring great sound to the great outdoors. To meet these needs Jamo has developed a wide-ranging outdoor speaker series consisting of four product platforms. One of our platforms include four compact 2-way speakers (I/O 8A2, I/O 3A2, I/O 3S and I/O 1A2). They all feature a flexible bracket making it easy to mount and adjust them. Furthermore we have an artificial decorative stone with built-in Dual Voice Coil speakers, so that only a single stone is needed to deliver full stereo sound (Rock 6.3A). In addition, there are two excellent speakers from the Architectural series (I/O 8.52DVCA2 and I/O 6.52DVCA2), also built with Dual Voice Coils, making it easier to place them. If you

Proven performance

As everyone knows, life outdoors can be hostile. That is why all speakers from our Outdoor series are created with weather-resistant quality materials such as aluminium and are designed to handle severe temperature swings from 30C to +70C / -22F to +158F. The outdoor systems can also be connected to one of our Multi-Purpose Amplifiers (MPA-101, MPA-201). They have line-in/line-out for daisy chaining as many MPAs as needed. The amplifiers feature signal sensing, and automatically turn on/off depending on whether the incoming signal is provided or not (this feature can be deactivated).

WaveGu i d e
WaveGuide is the unique way Jamo has shaped the tweeters faceplate. The result is a controlled sound pattern with a more open and dynamic reproduction of sound. WaveGuide makes it easier to position the speakers in the room. Another big challenge is to secure a uniform dispersion pattern in the treble and midrange frequencies. In general the dispersion is getting narrower the higher the frequencies. Consequently in the area where the mid/woofer and the tweeter should integrate smoothly, the mid/woofer has a narrow dispersion and the tweeter has a wide dispersion. This problem is solved with the Jamo WaveGuide. The completely smooth design of the WaveGuide also reduces diffractions to an absolute minimum. Finally, the WaveGuide increases treble output in the lower treble range which means the tweeter needs less power for the same SPL. So, power handling is improved and distortion is reduced.

Jamo Tech Talk

This unique configuration combines the best of two- and three-way systems; the coherent and easy-flowing sound reproduction of a two-way system, with the extended bass response and power handling of a three-way system. This is done by configuring the two-way system to reproduce the full frequency range and then using an additional woofer to augment low bass performance, a region where only greater cone area can move extra air and handle the extra power.

Co-axial drive unit

The co-axial drive unit (a tweeter integrated into the mid/ woofer) ensures the same acoustic centre for the two drivers and thus the treble and bass frequencies reach your ears in correct acoustic phase (simultaneously) regardless of whether or not your listening position is off-axis horizontally or vertically.

Convex tapered vent

When playing loud the speed of the air in the bass-reflex port can create sonic colouration via turbulence which is why the design of the ports is highly critical. The carefully symmetrical-flared design (Convex-shaped) of the Jamo bass-reflex port ensures an optimised airflow that minimizes port noise. Actually, this design allows the speaker to generate 5dB of extra SPL before any port noise occurs!
Active Impedance Correction
Active Impedance Compensation (AIC) is an innovative extension of former known ways of reducing distortion in electrodynamic loudspeaker drivers. The effect of AIC is a clearer midrange with a markedly reduced roughness, especially noticeable on voice reproduction. In figures, this amounts to a reduction of third order harmonic distortion in the order of 6dB (= 50% reduction).

Cut-off frequency

Continuously variable level, phase and cut-off frequency controls make it easy to tune the subwoofer to integrate with virtually any speaker on the market as well as allowing different placements and personal preferences

Auto on/off

This feature automatically switches the subwoofer on when it receives a sound input signal and sets it in standby again after approximately 20 minutes without an input signal. So, basically this allows you to forget all about the subwoofer once it is connected.

Dipolar

Dipolar means the sound is distributed from both the front and rear of the speaker in opposite phase. The reason for using dipolar surround speakers is not that you should be able to pinpoint their physical location, on the contrary. They should add a 3D ambience to the surround effects, making you feel part of the action. A dipolar front speakers sound radiation will emerge from the back and bounce from the rear and side wall before reaching your ears, creating a slight delay in the sound from the front and back. The 2nd order reflections adds ambience and gives you the impression of a much larger room. A dipolar front speaker is to be angled in slightly from the rear wall. Due to the angling the rear sound will be bouncing off two boundaries before reaching your ears. The reflections add ambience and gives you the impression of a much larger room.
Boundary Gain Compensation
The Boundary Gain Compensation filter compensates for the room influence at low frequencies, as any room amplifies the lowest frequencies. The magnitude of the rooms amplification depends on the room size and where you are positioned in the room normally it increases the closer you get to a wall. This can result in too high a bass level from approx. 60Hz and increasing downwards - in the range between 20-30Hz it peaks up to 5-10dB in an average room! At first this could sound really impressive, but the sound quickly begins to sound boomy, especially when listening to music, and rather annoying. So the Boundary Gain Compensation ensures a very linear in-room bass response and gives you more flexibility when it comes to placement and choosing your favourite listening position.

Slotted port cabinet construction allows for deeper tuning, superior power handling and distinct sonic fidelity. Last but not least, the integrated port design ensures great rigidity and stability in the cabinet design.
XBR (eXtended Bass Response)
With the unique Jamo XBR feature (eXtended Bass Response), the surround loudspeaker functions as a dipole in the treble and midrange area, and as a bipole in the lowest bass. This gives you the diffuse surround reproduction of traditional dipole loudspeakers, but with full bass reproduction.

of speakers and options were limited, explains Michael. With this link-system, I can now control all the multimedia in the house from different locations. Caroline can listen to music from the unit in the living room, while I sing along to the same music in the shower. says Michael and smiles.
In the kitchen, there are four in-ceiling Jamo IC 102 loudspeakers. They form a symmetrical pattern with the kitchen ceilings halogen lamps and give a harmonious look. The installer helped the couple with the positioning, with excellent acoustic results. The kitchen loudspeakers produce a full and harmonious sound. The sound is always excellent, no matter where you are positioned in the room; and it is almost impossible to hear which of the four loudspeakers you are actually listening to. Caroline and Michael chose a similar solution for the bedroom, the only difference being that the loudspeakers are built into the walls. The clever thing about these buildin solutions is that you can paint the fronts, so that the loudspeakers become elegantly integrated and almost invisible. Caroline remarks. The Sound of Movies There is one place in the house where Michael has been able to set up the interior exactly the way he wants it. He has been left solely in charge of designing the home cinema, which has become the main meeting point for the family. The home cinema has 5.1 surround sound that is a bit more special. In addition to the 3 visible Jamo D 6 LCR front speakers, Michael has also used the built-in concept. He has chosen two IW 807 in-wall speakers as rear channel. He chose these speakers to save space and because they, unlike most other built-in speakers, have a back box. A back box is basically a cabinet that is built into the wall. The back box makes it easier to control the sound and significantly increases the power of the loudspeakers. The earth-shaking bass in the home cinema comes from a D 6 SUB, which just like the three front speakers is THX-Ultra-certified, meaning the equipment meets the highest standards set by the film industry. Leaving Caroline and Michaels home, you cannot help but be fascinated by the uncompromised whole-house sound solution, when creative possibilities are considered and used. The result is impressive; excellent sound and a family that is completely satisfied because they are mastering technology and its possibilities, rather than the other way around.

With a perfect surround setup, the sound should emerge around the listener in a diffuse manner, rather than come from a number of localizable speakers on the wall. In a dipole surround speaker for domestic use there is, however, an inherent cancellation of low frequencies. Jamo has solved this problem in several clever ways; C 400 SUR maintains a dipole radiation of frequencies down to approx. 300Hz (treble and midrange), but has bipole radiation at lower frequencies. DTT (DECOUPLED TWEETER TECHNOLOGY)
DTT (Decoupled Tweeter Technology) is a mounting system specially developed by Jamo. One of the biggest challenges when designing speakers is preventing unwanted cabinet vibrations from clouding or colouring the sound. High frequencies are particularly susceptible. This problem is solved using the ingenious Jamo DTT. By decoupling the tweeter from the rest of the loudspeaker, vibrations transmitted from the front baffle to the tweeter are reduced by more than 20dB, resulting in an uncommonly detailed and realistic reproduction of high frequencies.
Jamo HCC operates without break-ups. Signal well attenuated after 1msec.

The WaveGuide result in a uniform treble dispersion pattern from 10kHz all the way down to the critical x-over point at 2kHz and thus secures a seamless transition to the mid/woofer both when listening on and off axis.

Jamo Tech Talk

This unique configuration combines the best of two- and three-way systems; the coherent and easy-flowing sound reproduction of a twoway system, with the extended bass response and power handling of a three-way system. This is done by configuring the two-way system to reproduce the full frequency range and then using an additional woofer to augment low bass performance, a region where only greater cone area can move extra air and handle the extra power.

Convex tapered vent

When playing loud, the speed of the air in the bass-reflex port can create sonic colouration via turbulence which is why the design of the ports is highly critical. The carefully symmetrical-flared design (Convex-shaped) of the Jamo bass-reflex port ensures an optimised airflow that minimizes port noise. Actually, this design allows the speaker to generate 5dB of extra SPL before any port noise occurs!

Slotted port cabinet

Slotted port cabinet construction allows for deeper tuning, superior power handling and distinct sonic fidelity. Last but not least, the integrated port design ensures great rigidity and stability in the cabinet design.

Level Centre-Plug

The Centre-Plug replaces the traditional dust cap, making the cone lighter and faster. This also prevents sonic break-up as well as pressure swings behind the dust cap as the cone moves, resulting in more dynamic and precise sound reproduction. The Centre-Plug cools the voice-coil, providing increased power-handling capability and stable sound reproduction, no matter how loud you play.

THX Ultra 2

THX Ultra 2 is an advanced specification for receivers, amplifiers, processors and speakers. It replaces the original Ultra specification first introduced over ten years ago. Ultra 2 also incorporates some future proofing, and should cover formats yet to come. The THX Ultra 2 specification caters for music as well as movies, meets the demands of digital soundtracks, is influenced less by room characteristics, is easier to use and will deliver a better experience over the widest listening area. Only one speaker layout will be required for all program material.
Dolby Virtual Surround DOLBY VIRTUAL SURROUND
Dolby Virtual Surround technology simulates a highly realistic 5.1-speaker surround sound listening environment from as few as two speakers, making it an ideal technology for digital TVs, stereo minisystems, PCs, and a variety of consumer audio/visual products. Dolby Virtual Speaker technology also creates a wider two-channel environment during playback of stereo CDs and MP3s, and when combined with Dolby Pro Logic II processing, (for example, in an audio/video receiver or PC), delivers a virtual surround listening experience from any high-quality stereo source.
Continuously variable level, phase and cut-off frequency controls make it easy to tune the subwoofer to integrate with virtually any speaker on the market, as well as allowing different placements and personal preferences

Limiter

A limiter prevents high input signals from overloading the subwoofer amplifier. It guarantees that the subwoofer will always be fully in control and that the sound will remain clean and clear, no matter how hard the subwoofer is driven.

Co-axial drive unit

The co-axial drive unit (a tweeter integrated into the mid/woofer) ensures the same acoustic centre for the two drivers and thus the treble and bass frequencies reach your ears in correct acoustic phase (simultaneously) regardless of whether or not your listening position is off-axis horizontally or vertically.
XBR (eXtended Bass Response)
With the unique Jamo XBR feature (eXtended Bass Response), the surround loudspeaker functions as a dipole in the treble and midrange area, and as a bipole in the lowest bass. This gives you the diffuse surround reproduction of traditional dipole loudspeakers, but with full bass reproduction.
