You can even select which brand of embroidery thread you use the MC9700 can specify color numbers for the 4 top embroidery threads.

Bring In Embroidery Designs From Many Sources. Select from Janome PC Design Cards, download from the Internet, or create your own designs with Janome embroidery software. You can easily transfer them all to the MC9700 using the ATA PC Card slot. The color menu system makes it easy.
1. Bring in designs on PC Design Cards or ATA PC Cards.
2. You can also select a wide variety of beautiful embroidery options from our Built-in design menu. There are 95 to choose from grouped by hoop size: 7 designs for the Large Hoop and 88 designs for the Standard Hoop.
3. Combine designs and lettering, choosing from 3 built-in alphabets.
4. Create beautiful monograms in 2 or 3 letter styles.
SELECT FROM AN ON-BOARD LIBRARY The MC9700 comes loaded with 95 popular designs, so you can begin embroidering right out of the box.

It's much faster and more reliable than a floppy disk. In fact, it's the standard storage device for a host of electronic devices from laptops to digital cameras, and blank cards can be purchased at any electronics store.
