GTi Subwoofers

Aquaplas-laminated cones maintain shape regardless of output level due to this concrete-like coating that was originally developed for aerospace applications. Fiberglass-reinforced Thermoset voice coils improve power handling and allow higher listening levels for longer durations of time by dissipating heat that can collapse formers when operating under thermal extremes. Symmetrical Field Geometry (SFG) ensures linear cone travel and low distortion at virtually any level by creating a uniform magnetic field around the voice coil.
Pure-titanium domes reproduce high frequencies free of distortion and breakup by leveraging this material's incredible strength and flat frequency response. Fiberglass-reinforced Thermoset voice coils improve power handling and allow higher listening levels for longer periods by dissipating heat that can collapse formers operating under thermal extremes. Stray Field Containment Geometry (SFCG) increases efficiency by minimizing the loss of stray magnetic fields, concentrating the magnetic energy on the voice coil.

Diamond-patterned surrounds control highfrequency resonances by utilizing JBL's patented single-piece dome/surround element.
Ferrofluid cooling increases tweeter power capacity by conducting heat away from the voice coil, and smoothes performance at lower frequencies.
Laboratory-optimized crossovers provide precise out-of-the-box performance by calibrating frequency, phase and power response.
Edge-wound voice coils increase efficiency and lower distortion by using ribbon-shaped aluminum or copper wire edge wound around the former to concentrate conductor mass in the magnet gap.
Intercooling wicks heat away from the motor structure through Venturi tubes cast in the magnet structure and over the voice coil.
Die-cast aluminum baskets provide incredible strength and rigidity required for precise driver operation and motor-structure alignment. Kevlar cones reduce midrange distortion at high levels due to their incredible strength and neutral sonic characteristics. Neodymium magnets provide the highest magnetic energy from the smallest possible structure, generating more energy in less space. Die-cast aluminum baskets provide incredible strength and rigidity required for precise driver operation and motor-structure alignment.
