Comments
Special features that make MARCO POLO outstanding from the rest of the yacht market: 35% fuel savings compared to a similar sized motor yacht. Maintenance and user friendly due to design and equipment (flat finish paint, cap rails in composite, no varnish needed; spacious engine room, direct access to dock through stern door to remove/replace all equipment). Underwater design allows for grounding without damaging propulsion or rudders (skegs on rudders, full length keel, pump jet integrated in hull). Superior safety (navy standard), 2 independent engine rooms, fire or flooding of one compartment does not hinder the vessel from being maneuverable. Multipurpose foredeck, up to 4 big tenders/toys can be stored (cars, containers, mini submarines, seaplanes, helicopter). Also allows having the crew activities carried out without disturbing guests. One off interior design by KCA (east meets west). Showboats award winner 2008 (best MY over 40m).
Page 8
The Marco Polo is built for long distance traveling without giving up any of the comfort demanded when island hopping and coastal cruising. Great emphasize is put on sea keeping, self sustainability, comfort, safety and cost efficient operation of highly specified equipment thought out with refined operational systems. One main engine and a Schottle bow thruster-jet gives two fully independent means of propulsion. The Shottle bow unit with the stern thruster makes her a dream to slot in and out of crowded ports.
