Good for the money Got this camcorder today and I have been impressed with its performance so far. A great first video camera As the title suggests, this is the first video camera I have bought, so I can only rate it without comparison.

JVC Everio GZMG57 DIGITEL MEDIA CAMCORDER With the camera recording and I turn my body I get a jerking motion on the play back.

Decent for Windows, not as good for Macs I work in a Mac school, and it is a pain to bring the videos in to the included software.

Overall, this is not a perfect camcorder, but consider the price of $400, and its pros, this is a pretty good one for daily uses. Great low-light pictures on overcast days at the beach with the f1.2 lens on this model.

Bought for $899 with DVD burner from Teds in Nov 2006, quite happy with camcorder. Got 4-5 hr battery from ?best.

I just got this for £299 from Currys and it is great. Compact and stores seven hours of video Slow autofocus
