Over all, I like this camcorder because it is small and easy to carry. Even thougth the 8GB is not enought. I bought this camcorder as we wanted a digital recording device for video of our twin children. Good quality video -- though. This is my first camcorder purchase, and I did a lot of research before buying this camera.

My siblings and I bought this camera for my mom for Christmas. We wanted to get her something to capture her first grandchild. Record all your memories with the camcorder Everio GZ-MG330 from JVC, awarded as best chamber Video family by EISA 2008. Good & smart thing. JVC Everio GZ is good for home user but not for avid video editors. The files are not too user friendly yet.

This camera has it all 35x optical zoom never miss that shot again from being to far away. After years of borrowing camcorders from friends or family I finally found one I liked enough to buy.

in conclusion, if you already have a digital camera, its a nice video camera. This camera has nice features with easy to use functions.
HenryWM 11:34pm on Friday, March 12th, 2010
This video camera is a great camcorder, it is easy to use and pretty inexpensive. This camera does have its draw backs but not the camera itself. We wanted a new compact camcorder primarily for the family, but also for my husband to use for the military and outdoors. This fit the bill great!

00.1.31, 10:01 AM
* The default setting is bold in the table below.

m VIDEO CALIBRATION

ON OFF
When this function is set to ON, this VCR checks the condition of the tape in use during playback and recording, and compensates to provide the highest-possible pictures. This takes place whenever you play back a tape or start recording after inserting a tape.
c During playback, this function is always working even though VIDEO CALIBRATION appears just at the beginning of automatic tracking. c During recording, this function works only for the first EP recording and the first SP recording on an inserted tape. For timer recording, this function checks the tape condition both for the SP recording and the EP recording before the first timer recording starts. c When you play back rental tapes or tapes recorded on other VCRs, set this function either ON or OFF whichever gives you the best picture.

m S-VHS MODE

You can determine which recording mode either S-VHS mode or VHS mode is used for recording on S-VHS tapes. When this function is set to ON, you can record on S-VHS tapes with S-VHS picture quality. When this function is set to OFF, you can record on S-VHS tapes with VHS picture quality.
S-VHS mode allows you to make high quality video recordings with horizontal resolution of 400 lines, comparing with the 230 lines of resolution of conventional VHS recordings. To achieve the highest quality picture we recommended to record in S-VHS mode. (But remember that a conventional VHS VCR without SQPB cannot play back S-VHS tapes recorded in S-VHS mode.) S-VHS MODE setting does not affect recording on VHS tapes. Recording on VHS tapes is always performed in VHS mode except when using S-VHS ET mode (Z pg. 27).

m AV COMPU-LINK

The REMOTE PAUSE/AV COMPULINK terminal on the rear panel can be used as either the REMOTE PAUSE terminal or the AV COMPULINK terminal. When this function is set to ON, you can use the this terminal as the AV COMPULINK terminal. By connecting other JVCs AV COMPULINK components (see the diagram below), including amplifiers (or receivers) and televisions, one touch control of the audio and video components linked via their AV COMPULINK connectors becomes possible.
For example: simply load a cassette in the VCR and press PLAY ( 3 ) and the AV COMPULINK components automatically turn on, the TVs AV mode is selected and the VCR starts playback. (You do not have to press PLAY ( 3 ) if the cassettes record safety tab is removed.)
When this function is set to OFF, you can use this terminal as the REMOTE PAUSE terminal. (Z pg. 45)
Connection varies depending on the type of JVC TV you have. Refer to the TVs instruction manual when making this connection.

Various connection for editing tapes
The following three methods can be used for editing tapes. c VHS to S-VHS editing (VIDEO-VIDEO connection): Although the picture quality is inherently limited by the original VHS quality, the edited tape has better picture quality than those made by VHS-to-VHS editing. c S-VHS to VHS editing (VIDEO-VIDEO connection): Since the original source is recorded in S-VHS mode, the edited tape has better picture quality than those made by VHS-to-VHS editing. c S-VHS to S-VHS (S-VIDEO connection): Original picture quality of S-VHS made can be duplicated with minimal picture degradation. This is the best editing method you can use on S-VHS VCRs.

Various connection for editing tapes
The following three methods can be used for editing tapes. VHS to S-VHS editing (VIDEO-VIDEO connection): Although the picture quality is inherently limited by the original VHS quality, the edited tape has better picture quality than those made by VHS-to-VHS editing. S-VHS to VHS editing (VIDEO-VIDEO connection): Since the original source is recorded in S-VHS mode, the edited tape has better picture quality than those made by VHS-to-VHS editing. S-VHS to S-VHS (S-VIDEO connection): Original picture quality of S-VHS made can be duplicated with minimal picture degradation. This is the best editing method you can use on S-VHS VCRs.
When monitoring the sound during Audio Dubbing, the normal soundtrack is automatically selected. If you wish to hear the Hi-Fi or mixed sound (Hi-Fi + normal soundtracks), press A.MONITOR to select NORM HI-FI. Audio Dubbing is not possible with a cassette whose record safety tab has been removed. When playing back an audio-dubbed tape, press A.MONITOR to select the soundtrack you wish to hear. Both the picture and the sound recorded on the Hi-Fi sound track are replaced at the same time. AV Dubbing: You can perform Audio Dubbing and Insert Editing at the same time. This means that the picture and the sounds recorded on the Hi-Fi sound track and on the normal track are replaced at the same time. For AV Dubbing, you can edit pictures and sound using different sources; connect a video source to the video input connector, and an audio source to the audio input connectors.
Connect an audio cable between the VCRs audio input connectors and the audio components audio output connectors. When connecting a monaural audio component, use only the VCRs AUDIO L input connector. Audio Dubbing is possible by using the audio input connectors on the front panel or on the rear panel.
