Multiple NVRs can be configured as one integrated Master/Slave system without using PC. No need for extra Software license or any camera licenses, just put the NVR as a Master on the same network. JVC NVR, VR-N900 and VR-N1600 ensure your larger surveillance systems under same easy-to-use concept as before. (*1)

*1 VR-N900 and VR-N1600 can be mixed in the Master/Slave system, and either model can run as a Mater or Slave, but to get the official technical support from the factory, the number of Slave NVR per 1 Master NVR should be up to 4 and total number of the camera per 1 Master/Slave system should be up to 80, which is currently the maximum configuration at the factory testing. And when configuring NVR Master/Slave system, all NVR version has to be same, and no Milestone XProtect Enterprise Slave is supported by the Master NVR. Lastly the Master NVR can not be specified as a Slave from another Master. *2 SNMP Manager software is not included. * NVR Ver1.5 or later version can be updated to Ver5.1 using provided update program. JVC Releases VR-N900 Network Video Recorder for Professional Security Applications
Enables PC-Less Recording, Viewing and Searching of Surveillance Images from IP Cameras; First Commercial Solution Developed Under Technology Partnership with Milestone Systems
Victor Company of Japan, Limited (JVC) today announced the launch of the VR-N900 Network Video Recorder (NVR), aimed at users of image surveillance security solutions. The innovative standalone (PC-less) system enables recording, viewing and searching of images from IP cameras, which are anticipated to be widely deployed moving forward. The VR-N900 was developed in technical collaboration with Denmark-based Milestone System A/S, the No. 1 global market share leader for IP security management software*, for excellent ease of use and solid reliability. JVC will exhibit the VR-N900 at the upcoming Security Show 2007, which is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, March 6 through Friday, March 9 at the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition hall. *According to data from IMS Research. 1. PC-less reliability and excellent ease of use Enables operation of main features such as recording, viewing and searching of IP camera images without a PC. Delivers the same ease of use as existing time-lapse video and hard disk recorder systems, with the reliability of a PC-less system. 2. Preinstalled viewer software utilizing technologies from Milestone Systems Preinstalled with VR-N900 View software developed in technical collaboration with Milestone Systems. Offers a superior GUI for excellent ease of use. 3. Hybrid design supports connectivity for both IP cameras and analog cameras Supports connections for up to nine cameras. Also supports mixed installations of network and analog cameras (automatic detection of JVC-brand IP camera) with channels for up to four analog cameras. Other features include remote pan/tilt/zoom operation when used in conjunction with JVC-brand combination cameras for high-speed motion capture (IP or analog).
Other Features 1. Simultaneous recording and transmission to client PCs Dual LAN ports, one for IP camera input and one for image transmission. High quality 30 ips (images per second) recording at VGA resolution, supporting simultaneous transmission to feed up to 10 client PCs.
2. Motion JPEG recording Utilizes Motion JPEG recording, which is also suitable for intermittent recording of surveillance images. Delivers high quality 120 ips recording at 640x480 VGA resolution, and 60 ips playback at VGA resolution. Connects directly to a large LCD display or other monitor without using a PC. 3.
