Before you begin installation, read through the installation instructions and check to be sure all parts are present. If you are in doubt as to any part of the installation, please ask your authorized Kawasaki dealer to complete the installation. Please note that Kawasaki cannot assume any responsibility for damage resulting from incorrect installation.

Installation Instructions Installing the Gel Seat on the motorcycle Remove the motorcycles original rider and passenger seats (see the vehicles Owners Manual for seat removal information).
Remove the flange nuts from the threaded studs on the Gel Seat. These nuts will not be reused as they are for
seat protection during shipping.
Remove the nuts and the metal seat brackets from the motorcycles original seat and install the brackets to the
Gel Seat using the original nuts. Tighten the nuts securely.
Remove the rubber bumpers from the motorcycles original seat and install them into the Gel Seat.
When removing and installing the rubber bumpers in the seat, use a light lubricant (or soapy water) and a twisting motion to remove or set the bumpers into the holes in the seat base.
Remove the nuts and washers from the motorcycles passenger seat hand-hold straps. To mount the supplied
strap, transfer the nuts and the washers to the new passenger Gel Seat strap studs and tighten the hardware securely.
Install the new, accessory Gel Seats onto the motorcycle in reverse order of the original seats removal (refer to
the vehicles Owners Manual for seat installation information).
Clean the Gel Seat and/or the Backrest Pad with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use hard, abrasive cleaners.
