EASY UPGRADE FOR ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT
Kenwood offers a variety of products that let you out upgrade your car audio system while making the most of your existing equipment. If you are dissatisfied with the system that came with your car, it is no longer necessary to replace all of your original equipment. This unique line of equipment gives you the option of getting higher performance at a lower cost. Just by adding these units, you can easily increase your amplifier power or add the convenience of a CD changer for miles and miles of music.
STEERING REMOTE CONTROL ADAPTER
With audio Remote Control mounted on the steering wheel, you no longer need to reach for car audio controls in the dash. All major controls for car audio operation are at your fingertips without your hands leaving the steering wheel. That feeling of anxiety when your eyes leave the road and search the head unit for the right button is a thing of the past. More than just a convenience, this upgrade is an effective way to improve driving safety. Kenwood now offer two types of control interface - hard wired and infra red control.
The hard wired version can be used with models showing OEM wired remote logo in this catalogue. (For list of leads see Table 1 on page 29) The infra red version can be used with all infra red equipped head units, past or present. (For list of leads see Table 2 on page 29)

GSM Hands Free

Featuring GSM-cellular phone compatibility for hands-free safety and comfort, KCA-HF521 comes with a high-sensitivity miniature microphone and front-speaker output of the callers voice (L/R channel selectable). When a call is received, music is automatically muted while a DSPbased echo canceller reduces feedback and delivers clear and easy-to-hear conversation. Used in combination with the Kenwood in-dash touch-sensitive monitor KVT-920DVD / M700, this new system also enables easy viewing of SMS (Short Message Services).

EXTERNAL DISPLAY
Information from D-MASK+ and FP-MASK head units can be duplicated and sent to an optional external display unit via our optional Heads-Up Display interface kit. The display unit has its own reflector, and can be fixed on a dashboard or the ceiling of the drivers compartment. Information such as FM/AM frequencies, preset station numbers and CD track numbers are displayed in a safer location with the external display. Adding optional sensing units will expand display capabilities to include compass direction, battery voltage, and outside temperature.

FM MODULATOR

If your original equipment includes an FM receiver, you can easily upgrade your FM radio to a CD changer system without any modification to your existing system. Kenwood's FM Modulator converts the CD signal from the CD changer into an FM signal that can be received and played by your FM radio. Just install the Kenwood CD Changer System with the FM Modulator and tune to the specified frequency. That's KDC-C469FM/A all you have to do, except relax and enjoy your favorite CDs in your car.

SPEAKER LEVEL INPUT
You can add a power amplifier to your existing system and enjoy more dynamic car audio sound. By using the Speaker Level Input function of the Amplifier, the music signal can be picked up from the existing speaker wiring and routed to the extra power amp for amplification to drive higher-power speakers. For users who are looking for more bass, Kenwood also offers the Powered Subwoofer with Speaker Level Input capability.
