When i bought my minolta dimage 7 camera it was about 800 pounds and to be honest it is not really worth 800 pounds.

I sold an Olympus C2100UZ to "upgrade" to this camera. To say that I was dissappointed is an understatement. The Olympus is twice the camera.

For its "INFRARED" abilities alone its a GREAT CAMERA!.. I bought this camera second hand for about $250 and originally when first introduced. THIS PRODUCT IS ABOVE AND BEYOUND Having decided to visit China............I was told,by other world travlers, " do not take anything big.

I bought this camera about 3 years ago when it first came out, it was the first digi camera I owned. where can I start from? say about this battery sloughtering thingy? 5 for build -> solid stuff 4 for features -> "only" 5 mpix 4 for image quality -> high noise at iso 400+ 4 for easy of use -> you should read the manu...

This camera is top quality, one I purchased with the high specifications and incredible zoom in mind. Great resolultion.

Interesting: I have not felt that this camera eats batteries as others claim. Picture quality: pixel density, choice of data compression level. I have resisted buying a digital cameras because I never considered them seriouis instruments of photography.

Worth every penny I have had my new Minolta for just over a Month now, I also use a good 35mm SLR, with 70-210 Zoom.

This is not going to be a technical review as I am less interested in what knob does what and to what level. SLR feel, Digital Battery usage Lots of professional features Auto focus, battery life

I have been looking for a new Digital Camera and after much deliberation I had decided either on the Fuji Film 6900Z or the Minolta Dimkage 7.
